The Asian Finance Association (AsianFA) invites submission of research papers in finance to the Association’s 2014 annual conference. The conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FEB UNS), Indonesia, during June 24 – 27, 2014. The conference provides an open platform for finance scholars worldwide to present their recent research and exchange ideas and information on new developments in finance research. We are planning a high-quality and competitive conference. The majority of the sessions will include papers selected through open competition. The papers will be double blind-reviewed by a committee of established researchers. In addition, there will be several invited sessions where leading researchers in different areas will be invited to present their latest work. There will also be several junior faculty workshops where junior faculty from different institutions will have an opportunity to present their work and senior researchers will be assigned to discuss the work.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
– Richard Roll, Anderson School, UCLA
– Kose John, Stern School, NYU.
In their keynote addresses, the two keynote speakers will discuss the current status and future directions of research in their respective areas of interest: asset pricing (Roll) and corporate finance (John). The addresses are expected to offer valuable help and guidance to aspiring researchers. Besides the two keynote speakers, we expect a number of scholars of international standing to participate in the invited sessions.
TOPICS
Papers in all areas of finance are welcome, including corporate finance, asset pricing, market microstructure, behavioral finance, financial intermediation, financial crisis, international finance, emerging capital markets, and Islamic finance. Accepted papers are eligible for several categories of best paper awards. The awards in each category will be decided on by an Awards Committee of established researchers specially constituted for the purpose.

Paper status: only completed papers will be considered
Submission deadline: February 15, 2014
Submission format: a blind copy of the manuscript and a separate file for the cover page containing the paper title, the abstract and author information. PDF or MS-Word version only.
