Introduction
In accordance with the needs of strengthening academic atmosphere and also responds to recent issues on law and sustainable development, Faculty of Law, Sebelas Maret University, Indonesia, will organize an international conference and call for papers which will be held in Surakarta, Indonesia on 26-27 November 2014.
This Conference delivers the opportunity for academician, researcher, practician, student, government’s representative, NGO’s come together to share knowledges, ideas, and discuss recent issues specifically on law and sustainable development. We look forward to welcoming you at the conference and value your contribution to the success of the conference.

Plennary Session and Call for Papers
- Plennary Session
Plennary session will be provided in two (2) days, 26-27 November 2014, where the invited speakers will give speech and share opinion or idea related to “Law and Sustainable Development”
- Call for Papers
The main theme of this conference is “Law and Sustainable Development amongst Developed and Developing Countries” , therefore the papers should address the broad theme of the conference. The group of papers will be divided into several chambers, there are :
Development on Economic and Trade
- Citizenship, Culture, and Social Justice
- Preventing, mitigating, and deterring conflict, crime, and violence
- Strengthening accountability and check balancing power
- Political, Security and Dispute Settlement
- Miscellanous (exclude above chambers)
The “Miscellanous” chamber means that it is not necessary for a paper to fit within any specific subject area in order to be accepted.
- Papers Selection Criteria
The accepted papers for presentation at this conference will be based on a competitive selection process. The selection criteria of papers will be as follows:
Relevance to the conference broad theme and sub-theme
- Abstract quality
- Diversity of presenters
- Adherence to the conference abstract and full paper submission guidelines
- Paper Title
- Author (name, institution, email address)
- Chamber name (Development on Economic and Trade; Citizenship, Culture, and Social Justice; Preventing, Mitigating, and Deterring Conflict, Crime, and Violence; Strengthening Accountability and Check Balancing Power; Political, Security and Dispute Settlement; and Miscellanous)
GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
- The deadline for abstract submission is 01 November 2014. Please submit the abstract to law.conference_uns@yahoo.com |lawconferenceuns@gmail.com
- The abstract acceptance will be informed within five (5) days since the author’s submission. Please maintain a functional email address at all times
- Abstract should no more than 300 words, and also please include :
- Abstract should be Microsoft Word file, either .doc or .docx using Times New Roman 12 in Single paragraph space
- Upon abstract acceptance, full paper must be submitted by 20 November 2014 for the chambers session
- The organizers reserve the right to make changes of chamber allocations

- The full papers of the conference will be published in a conference proceeding
- Any issue regarding plagiarism, it is solely the responsibility of the author’s
