UNS — A total of 2,727 applicants are determined to pass the Joint Selection to Enter State Universities  (SBMPTN) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta of 2021 on Monday (14/6/2021). The news was delivered by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. Alongside the UNS Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S., and the Head of UNS Technical Implementation Unit of New Student Selection and Admission (SPMB), Prof. Dr. Ir. Hadiwiyono, M.Si., in a press conference at Assembly Room II dr. Prakosa Building UNS, on Monday (14/6/2021). In total there are 49,983 students applied to the UNS SBMPTN 2021.

“The number of applicants who passed the 2021 UNS SBMPTN selection is 2,727 students or 5.46 % of the total applicants. UNS acceptance ratio increase from 1:15 in 2020 to 1:18 in 2021. As much as 30.51 percent or 832 of the applicants passed the 2021 UNS SBMPTN are the Study-KIP cardholder in 2021,” Prof. Jamal explains.

From the total of 49,983 applicants in the 2021 UNS SBMPTN, there are 24,473 applicants in the Science and Technology field and 25,510 applicants for the Social and Law field. “For the science and technology, there are 1,250 applicants passed the selection, while for the social and law study, there are 1,477 applicants. The students’ acceptance ratio for science and technology is 1: 20, as for the social study is 1:17,” Prof. Jamal added.

The top ten study programs with the highest acceptance ratio for the science and technology study are Pharmacy (Medicine Education) Study Program with 1:60 acceptance rate, Informatics (Computer Science) Study Program with 1:54 acceptance rate, Psychology Study Program with 1:49 acceptance rate, Medical Science Study Program with 1: 39 acceptance rate, Health and Company Hygiene and Work Safety Study Program with 1: 26 acceptance rate, Architecture Study Program with 1: 25 acceptance rate, Urban and Regional Planning Study Program with 1:24 acceptance rate, Statistics Study Program with 1:23 acceptance rate, Food Technology Study Program with 1: 23 acceptance rate, and Industrial Engineering with 1: 22 acceptance rate.

UNS is categorized as the top 8 National universities with the highest UTBK in science and technology field. The detailed average national score are as follows, Universitas Indonesia (UI) with averageUTBK score of 693.35, Institut Teknologi Bandung with 683.90, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) with 656.52, Universitas Airlangga with 639.97, Universitas Diponegoro with 631.86, Universitas Padjadjaran with 630.19, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember with 630.16, and UNS with 628.64.

As for the study program in social sciences, the top 10 study program with the highest acceptance rate is Communication Science with a 1:54 acceptance rate, Management with 1:34 acceptance rate, International Relation with a 1:34 acceptance rate, State Administration Science with 1:30 acceptance rate, English Language and Literature with 1:29 acceptance rate, Guidance and Counseling Education with 1:26 acceptance rate, Visual Communication Design with (DKV) 1:25 acceptance rate, Sociology with 1:24 acceptance rate, Demographics and Civil Registration with 1:22 acceptance rate, English Language Education with 1:20 acceptance rate.

For those who do not pass the SBMPTN, you can apply to the UNS Standalone Admission Selection (Seleksi Mandiri – SM) UNS from UTBK, Written Exam, Young Leadership Program, and International Class Program for the Accounting and Development Economics Study Program. Information on the requirements and procedures of the 2021 UNS Standalone Admission Selection is available at http://spmb.uns.ac.id,” Prof. Jamal added.

All applicants that passed the selection process are expected to continue the admission process by referring to the http://spmb.uns.ac.id. The official schedule for the new student registration process (who passed the 2021 SBMPTN) is as follows student identity registration on 15-20 June 2021, the announcement of Single Tuition Fee (UKT) on 15-20 June 2021, UKT amendment proposal 15-20 June 2021, determination for the amendment of UKT on 22 June, UKT payment and online registration on 15–24 June 2021.
