UNS — The District Government of Purworejo reminded the participants of the Student Community Service Program (KKN) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta participants to take part in exploring the rural potential. This message was delivered by Dewi, Policy Analyst of Purworejo District Government, in the welcoming ceremony for KKN participants on Tuesday (18/1/2021) in Krandegan Village Hall, Bayan Subdistrict, Purworejo, Central Java.
Dewi as the representative for Purworejo District, hoped that the KKN Participants could assist in the rural development process.
“As mentioned by the Minister for PDTT and Rural Area regarding the achievement of SDGs, the students could build synergy, collaborate with village government and professional assistant in the village to explore the rural potential and share your knowledge from the campus,” Dewi stated.
Ninety-eight students from UNS will implement their programs in ten villages in six subdistricts for 45 days. The villages are Krandegan, Karangrejo, Kebondalem, Kaliwader, Sukowuwuh, Rowodadi, Sumberagung, Sumberejo, Binangun, and Ngembak.
“If there are programs that are considered not completed, it can be continued in next years by the juniors. Hopefully, all the programs could be completed, not only in one KKN program but in a continuous program,” she added.
Dewi also mentioned that the students should be able to learn to implement their knowledge from the campus and apply it in their respective villages. “Learn about the village conditions. Ajur means you need to mingle with the community, village government, and the existing condition,” she mentioned.
Dewi also reminded that the students could assist in establishing Pos Pelayanan Teknologi Tepat Guna Desa (Posyantek) (Center for Rural Applied Technology). She also ensured that the local government was open for any program proposed by the KKN Team. Humas UNS
