UNS — After the inauguration, the manager of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Alumni Association 2021 – 2024 visited the Solo Art Market (SAM) to see UNS students’ innovative products. SAM is located in Keprabon Village and Ngarsopuro Pedestrian, Surakarta. SAM is held the SAM #12 from 19 to 20 February 2022.

SAM is an art market and public space that provides space for artists, crafters, and creators in Solo. The market allows the creators to build synergy and work together in creating artworks that could be exhibited and sold through online and offline platforms. SAM is open to the academic community and people in general who want to exhibit their works and workshops. UNS and ISI academic members participated in SAM#12.

SAM #12 displayed the innovative products from UNS students from several programs under Kind As, T.nergy, Kutukado, and minimaline brands. The event took the theme of University Students New Entrepreneurship (Wibawa), and the students from Fine Arts Student Association (HMSM) FSRD UNS showed their paintings.

Heri Sosiawan, the Chairman for Organization Division IKA UNS, stated that the students’ works are good and need to be developed into more innovative work. “This is the time for UNS students to create and shows confidence in the community. I think SAM is appropriate as a place to exhibit their works because of the artistic management and concept,” Heri explained.

IKA UNS managers visiting SAM looked proud to see various students’ paintings and creativity in the form of handicrafts. Student supervisor and activator SAM, Dyah Yuni Kurniawati, M.Sn., hoped that SAM could prove that UNS students could work together with the community, share with the community, and build a synergy with the community.

“I am delighted and proud with UNS alumni who visited and supported the students who participated in the exhibition. Therefore, the students could develop their products, enrich their experiences, and be optimistic in running their creative business,” Dyah Yuni Kurniawati stated. Humas UNS
