UNS — Bank Mandiri handed four electric cars to Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The cars are handed by the Vice President of PT Bank Mandiri Persero Tbk for Jawa Tengah and DIY region, Linda Permatasari, to the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, accompanied by Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs, Prof. Sajidan. The ceremony took place in front of the UNS dr. Prakosa Rectory Building, Friday (5/2/2021).
The representative of PT Bank Mandiri Persero, Linda Permatasari, in her remarks, thanked UNS for the partnership established between the two institutions. “On behalf of Bank Mandiri, we thank UNS for choosing Bank Mandiri as their bank partner,” Linda explains. Additionally, Bank Mandiri strives to support the events organized by UNS, including the green campus program.
“We support the efforts made by UNS that committed to implementing green campus program, one of them is by designing a free emission day on the first Friday in each month. These electric cars are expected to support this program. We wish for the collaboration between Bank Mandiri and UNS to always flourish,” Linda adds.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, expressed his gratitude for the grants from Bank Mandiri. “On behalf of UNS, we are thankful for the support from Bank Mandiri to enliven the activities at UNS,” Prof. Jamal states.
Further, Prof. Jamal hopes that in the future the number of electric cars in UNS will increase. After the ceremony, Prof. Jamal immediately tried to drive the electric car himself. “The car is comfortable, environmentally-friendly, and sensible. I have tried to go around UNS on this car, it is extremely comfy. I hope this car can be operated during the free emission day, for guests and the UNS academic community,” he concluded. Humas UNS
