UNS — The Office Administration Education Program (PAP) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a webinar on “Menjadi Mahasiswa yang Berperan Not Baperan” (becoming students with contribution with no personal issues) through Zoom Cloud Meeting application on Sunday (26/12/2021).
The webinar was opened with an opening remark from Nur Rahmi Akbarini, S.Pd., M.Pd as a representative from the Head of Office Administration Education Program PAP FKIP UNS. In her remark, Nur Rahmi hoped that the webinar could shape students into active people wherever they are.
“Hopefully, after this webinar, you could become a student with a contribution in your family, community, the nation, and the state,” Nur stated in her remark.
The first speaker in the webinar was Nuzulul Ilma from Alehra Research Project for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan who shared material on “Baperan dan Berperan di Lingkup Mahasiswa” (sensitive personality or contributing personality as university students). Ilma explained the basics of roles and how people hold multi-roles and responsibilities. “Everyone is inseparable from their roles,” she explained.
Ilma also explained the negative impact of the inability to manage negative emotions that will affect mental health and disturb teamwork. She also suggested journaling, sports, and meditation as a means of managing negative emotions.
The second speaker, Arwan Gunawan, is a teacher from Vocational High School (SMKN) 1 Kersana who delivered material on “Menjadi Mahasiswa Baperan atau Berperan” (becoming contributing students or students with personal issues) and mentioned that personal issues occur when there is a gap between the real self and ideal self.
Arwan also mentioned several methods to solve the problem of bringing personal issues into activities among university students through self-love, reducing procrastinating, being grateful and stopping a complaining habit, filling time with useful activities, building positive energy, and believing that what happened to have a lesson.
