The #DemiIndonesia Bahagia event which was packaged in this concert event presented The Changcuters, Nidji, Owah Gerr Band, Team Lo, Elizabeth Sudira, and Voca Erudita. More than a thousand spectators joined in to enliven the event which was also held in commemoration of the 47th Dies Natalis UNS.

Also present in this event, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho; Chief Editor of detikcom, Alfito Deannova Ginting; Head of 47th Dies Natalis UNS, Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama; and UNS leaders.

In his remarks, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho expressed his appreciation to detikcom for successfully organizing this event.

“This morning there was #DemiIndonesia Hebat, then this afternoon there was #DemiIndonesia Siap Kerja, and tonight it’s time for us to have fun in #DemiIndonesia Bahagia. UNS is in my heart, detik.com is on my cellphone,” he said.

Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama also said that tonight, it was time for the UNS academic community to sing and dance together in enlivening the 47th Dies Natalis UNS in the #DemiIndonesia Bahagia event.

The event was opened with the appearance of Elizabeth Sudira, who performed a duet with the Voca Erudita Student Choir (PSM). They performed three songs, including Walang Kekek, Semerdu Lokananta, Rindu Solo, and Khatulistiwa. After the collaboration performance between UNS alumnus and Voca Erudita, the event continued with performances from Owah Gerr Band and Team Lo. The two bands, which combined music and comedy, were able to bring laughter from the audience through the songs and jokes they performed.

Meanwhile, Nidji and The Changcuters appeared as the closing for the #DemiIndonesia Bahagia event. The appearance of the two bands added to the boisterous crowd of thousands of spectators. The #DemiIndonesia Hebat event was a discussion forum session with great and inspirational figures presenting Prof. Jamal Wiwoho as the Rector of UNS, Gibran Rakabuming Raka as Mayor of Surakarta, Alfito Deannova Ginting as Chief Editor of detikcom, Cinta Laura Kiehl, and Kanjeng Gusti Pangeran Adipati Arya (KGPAA) Mangkunegoro X. During the event the program was hosted by Budi Adiputro and Arie Putra.

In his remarks, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho expressed his gratitude for the enthusiasm of the participants for the success of the 47th Dies Natalis UNS event. “I am very happy that even though there are thousands of participants, you can still maintain order,” he said.

On the same occasion, Prof. Jamal also advised that success or failure in life is normal. However, the failures you get must be a lesson to make life better.

 “Even though we have worked hard, the results will be between success and failure. So, when we really want to succeed, prepare carefully. No success comes suddenly. But what makes difficult is how we can maintain this success,” Prof. Jamal said.

In addition, on the same occasion the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, explained the strategy for growing the economy in Solo. Gibran admitted that the economic condition in Solo had slumped due to the pandemic. However, to get the wheels of the economy moving at that time, Gibran admitted that there were many activities in the city of Solo, such as music events and physical development.

 “I also changed the way I work as mayor. It is like I apply the way of thinking as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This is because Solo is very tricky. It doesn’t have agriculture, mining, farms, it doesn’t have anything. Therefore, the way we work must be changed immediately, “Gibran explained.

Meanwhile, Alfito Deannova Ginting as Editor in Chief of detikcom expressed his gratitude for the presence of #DemiIndonesia in Solo which was very welcomed by students and young people.

“Through this #DemiIndonesia event, hopefully we can invite all people to always think positively about Indonesia. Remembering that they will be the main leaders to realize Indonesia Gold in 2024,” he said.

Alfito Deannova Ginting added that the #DemiIndonesia event was a movement initiated by detikcom. Therefore, we began to introduce this activity to young Indonesians. It is because Indonesian young people have a very big role for the future progress of Indonesia.

As for Cinta Laura Kiehl said that we have to be a person who is discipline, smart, competent, innovative, and creative. Because of that way, we can deliver our dream of going international.

Furthermore, KGPAA Mangkunegoro X also shared his experiences while leading Mangkunegaran, Solo. He admitted that there are many positive and negative things that can be taken from what he has done.

 “I have experienced failures, but that’s normal for me. Because the most important thing is how we can learn from this failure,” KGPAA Mangkunegoro X said.

After the #DemiIndonesia Hebat event, it was followed by the #DemiIndonesia Siap Kerja event. In this event, detikcom opened recruitment and psychological tests for prospective employees and apprentices. The final event there is #DemiIndonesia Bahagia. The session was opened by the Head of the UNS Academic Senate (SA), Prof. Dr. Adi Sulistiyono, S.H., M.H. The Rector of Xihua University, civil officials, military officials, police officials, religious leaders, and community leaders from the Surakarta residency attended this session.

There were also  the Rector of UNS, Leaders and Members of the Board of Trustees (MWA), Leaders and Members of the Professors Council, Faculty Leaders, Unit Leaders, Lecturers, Education Staff, Students, UNS Alumni, Dharma Wanita, Retiree, and other invited guests.

The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. in his speech, thanked God for being able to lead UNS for 5 years in a good health. Prof. Jamal acknowledged UNS’ tenacity and toughness during the Covid-19 pandemic. He was also not forgetting the important moment of the stipulation of Government Regulation No. 56 year 2020 concerning Legal Entity State Universities for UNS, which was supporting its goal of becoming a world-class university.

“There are many more challenges, thanks to God’s grace and help, UNS is still strong and intact,” Prof. Jamal said.

In order to participate in facing the challenges and current crisis conditions, Prof. Jamal again reminded the meaning of the theme raised by UNS in its 47th Dies Natalis. He invited all UNS academics and the Indonesian people to always be creative and innovative.

“Through this theme, we evoke and invite all UNS academics and all pillars of the Indonesian nation, to unite and move creatively and innovatively together to find solutions for the victory of the nation and state of Indonesia,” he said.

Prof. Jamal also conveyed the achievements of UNS in various fields over the past year. Among them, currently UNS is included in the Top 10 of best state universities in Indonesia, and received an award from the Ministry of Education and Culture as the 1st rank PTN achieving IKU 7 in the PTNBH league.

The Vice Head of MWA UNS, Prof. Hasan Fauzi, M.B.A., Ph.D., C.A., CSRA delivering remarks on behalf of the Head of MWA UNS, Marshal TNI (Purn.) Dr. (HC) Hadi Tjahjanto, S.I.P. He reminded that UNS has won a highly challenging trust by the state, government, and the wider community.

One of them is the necessity for UNS to be able to keep upholding dignity in an effort to align itself with the top group of world-class universities. Prof’s Hasan said that innovation and creativity is needed in taking advantage of the increasingly rapid advancement of science and technology.

“We also build strong character as the basic to build superior human resources for advanced Indonesia. Knowledge is power, but character is more,” Prof. Hasan said.

He also encouraged the implementation of learning to be endeavored to yield alumni with character, having superior competence, being able to innovate, and being able to work together with all components of the nation. UNS alumni must be the motor, the driving force of advancement, and the maintainers of the nation’s diversity.

“Thus the vision to realize UNS as a world-class university will gradually be realized through the synergy of academics and stakeholders in achieving these noble ideals,” he added.

In particular, Prof. LIU Shugen as Rector of Xihua University gave his scientific oration. He was very happy to have the opportunity to visit Surakarta City, especially to UNS. He congratulated and gave best wishes to UNS.

Prof. LIU Shugen also acknowledged that currently UNS has become one of the leading universities in Indonesia, and also has a high reputation internationally. This achievement is inseparable from the hard work of the academic community, as well as support from all elements of society.

The event continued with the awards presentation to outstanding alumni and new UNS doctors. This award was handed over directly by Prof. Jamal. In the 47th Dies Natalis UNS ceremony, awards were also given to lecturers, research groups, study programs, faculties, and work units that performed well, including the handing over of the UI Green Metric World University rankings certificate 2022 to the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho.

Prof. Jamal, who is also the ceremony leader, gave thanks for the age of UNS which had entered 47 years. The strength of UNS resided in the great enthusiasm and motivation of all leaders and academics. “Success at a young age, indeed not all tertiary institutions can make it happen. But armed with hard work, self-confidence, sincerity to share and respect each other, this is the key to success for UNS in making achievements and reputation,” he said.

Prof. Jamal conveyed the philosophy of UNS age, which is 47 years old. The number 4, according to him, shows productivity, honesty, discipline, passion and loyalty. Meanwhile the number 7 describes people who have high spirituality, independence, luck and are able to work optimally.

“The positive message of the number 47, hopefully it will become our shared spirit and belief, that UNS will change to be better, and all our efforts in the past will soon reap triumph and success in the future,” he continued.

UNS received various awards and recognition as the best campus according to the Ministry of Education and Culture and international ranking agencies throughout 2022. It is a proof that UNS can compete with top universities in the country, even though it is relatively young.

“I have to give high appreciation to the Deans, because of their sincerity and commitment, so that in 2022 they have succeeded in delivering their study programs to average the top 8 best in Indonesia according to the World University Ranking and the Time Higher Education World University Ranking 2023”, Prof. Jamal stated. Prof. Jamal said that optimism is a belief which will lead to achievement. He is sure that UNS’s tradition of achievement will continue in the coming years. The carnival fanfare started from the courtyard of the Ki Hadjar Dewantara Building UNS. The carnival participants walked through the South Gate of UNS towards the Lembah Teknik (Technical Valley) of the Faculty of Engineering (FT). Lembah Teknik is also the location for the 47th Dies Natalis UNS Exhibition 2023.

This exhibition lasted for three days and two nights until Saturday (11/3/2023). Meanwhile, the exhibition was opened and could be visited by UNS academics from 08.00 – 21.00 WIB.

Various products and performances by UNS academics enlivened and decorated every corner of the exhibition. These products are the work of UNS students and lecturers during the implementation of the Independent Campus Learning Program (MBKM).

The 47th Dies Natalis UNS Exhibition Coordinator, Prof. Dr. Okid Parama Astirin, M.S., promised many interesting attractions. The exhibition would indeed be enlivened by performances of music, singing, dance, literature, and martial arts from UNS academics.

 “This is an interesting event, three days and two nights. Hopefully that this will be a monumental event in the 47th year of UNS,” Prof. Okid said.

The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., said that UNS was going through beautiful days. Because in the next few days UNS will commemorate its 47th Dies Natalis this year.

“We hope that with this 47th Dies Natalis, UNS will continue to develop competitive universities and quality universities at the national and international levels,” Prof. Jamal said.

He appreciated the exhibition which has been held since Thursday. This appreciation was in line with the enthusiasm of the UNS academic community as seen from the 43 booths of participation in the exhibition. Prof. Jamal thanked all the organizers and parties who contributed to the running of the event, especially to Dr. Sapta Kunta Purnama, M.Pd., as Chair of UNS 47th Dies Natalis Committee and Prof. Okid as 47th Dies Natalis UNS Exhibition Coordinator.

“While we continue to advance education, research and community service, we will also continue to develop innovations and downstream activities that we do,” he stated.

In his remarks, Achmad Nur Chamdi, S.Pt, M.Sc., as the Chief Committee said that the workshop was aimed to help improve public communication skills.

“This event is the second workshop where the material will be more practical related to public speaking techniques and speaking techniques when becoming an MC. I also thank the workshop participants who attended this event. Thanks also to the organizers for organizing this event. InsyaAllah, the material that will be presented by the speakers will be very useful,” he said.

Another remark by the Head of UPT UNS Library, Burhanudin Harahap, S.H., M.H., M.Sc., Ph.D. said that being able to speak in public well and interestingly is a skill in communication that can be learned.

 “So, for those who want to have good speaking skills, take advantages of this workshop to be active. Because the participants will be given the opportunity to practice directly and other participants are welcome to provide feedback. This is also what makes the difference from previous workshop materials which were only about theory,” he said.

As a main speaker, Farhan Arief presented material on Presentation Practice and MC. He said that in order you don’t get nervous when speaking in public, the first thing you can do is take a deep breath. Then just look at the audience. Because when we see who is in front of us, we will be calm. After that you are please start talking.

“While the requirements to be an MC are to have broad knowledge, have a good sense of humor, have patience, have broad imagination, and be enthusiastic. As for the supporting factors for MC and public speaking are sound and speech that are good and pleasing to the ear, mastery of language, and appearance according to the program, ” Farhan Arief concluded. In the press conference which was held in Meeting Room 2, dr. Prakosa building UNS, Monday (6/3/2023), Secretary of the UNS Academic Senate, Prof. Ari Handono Ramelan said that he hoped that the addition of five new Professors would make an extraordinary contribution to UNS, society, nation and state.

The first professor to be inaugurated was Prof. Dr. Albertus Sentot Sudarwanto, S.H., M.Hum. He is a Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law (FH) UNS.

Prof. Sentot is the 10th professor of FH and the 255th professor of UNS. In his inauguration session, Prof. Sentot will read the inaugural speech entitled ` Model Imbal Jasa Lingkungan Berbasis Kontraktual Sebagai Bentuk Tanggung Jawab Perdata’ (Model of Contractual-Based Payment for Environmental Services as a Form of Civil Responsibility).

The second professor, namely Prof. Dr. Agus Purwantoro, M.Sn. He is a Professor of the Science of Creation Performance Art, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) UNS. Prof. Agus was named the 3rd Professor of FSRD and the 256th Professor of UNS. In his inauguration session, Prof. Agus will read the inaugural speech entitled ‘Eksplorasi Kreatif dan Identitas Karakter Dalam Seni Rupa Kontemporer Indonesia’ (Creative Exploration and Character Identity in Indonesian Contemporary Art).

Then the third professor namely Prof. Drs. Bambang Harjito, M.App.Sc, Ph.D. He will be inaugurated as professor of Cryptography and Information Security at the Faculty of Information Technology and Data Science (FATISDA) UNS. Prof. Bambang who currently serves as the Head of UPT Information and Communication Technology (TIK) is FATISDA’s first professor and the 257th UNS professor. In his inauguration, Prof. Bambang will read a speech entitled `Keamanan Informasi menggunakan kriptografi Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid (DNA) berbasis Nth Degree Truncated Polynomial Ring Units (NTRU) kriptosistem pada Cyber Space` (Information Security using Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid (DNA) cryptography based on the Nth Degree Truncated Polynomial Ring Units (NTRU) cryptosystem in Cyber Space).

Then the fourth Professor was Prof. Dr. Rahmanu Widayat, M.Sn. He was inaugurated as Professor of Aesthetics at FSRD UNS. Prof. Rahmanu who is currently also the Dean of FSRD is the 4th Professor of FSRD and the 258th Professor of UNS. Prof. Rahmanu will read the inaugural speech entitled `Estetika Rupa Jawa Dalam Konstelasi Seni Timur Dan Barat` (Javanese Fine Aesthetics in the Constellation of Eastern and Western Art).

The fifth professor is Prof. Danar Praseptiangga, S.T.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. He was inaugurated as Professor of Food Science at the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) UNS. Prof Danar is the 38th professor of FP and the 259th professor of UNS. The title of the Prof Danar inauguration speech is `Pengembangan Pangan Fungsional dan Pengemas Pangan Berkelanjutan Berbasis Sumber Daya Alam Indonesia` (Development of Functional Food and Sustainable Food Packaging Based on Indonesia’s Natural Resources).

The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. hopes that the addition of five new Professors will further strengthen UNS towards a World Class University (WCU). “Alhamdulillah, ahead of the 47th Dies Natalis, UNS adds five new professors from various faculties, namely FH, FSRD, FATISDA which is a new faculty and FP. Hopefully it can motivate other lecturers to become professors soon. I am happy and proud of the addition of five new Professors. I hope this will improve the quality of UNS as a world-class State University (PTN),” Prof. Jamal said. Humas UNS

In his remarks, the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation UNS, Prof. Dr. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T., said that the development of the KHDTK Alas Bromo UNS was inseparable from the role and participation of the society that was involved and had a big contribution in building and preserving Alas Bromo.

“In this event there is also a kid puppeteer competition which also preserves the wayang kulit (puppet) culture. This program is also to advance Indonesia’s national culture which makes culture as an investment to build the nation’s future and civilization. Then it is in line with the mandate of Law Number 5 of 2017. Furthermore, I would also like to thank the committee for organizing this event,” Prof. Kuncoro said.

Prof. Kuncoro hopes that this event can provide encouragement to preserve Indonesian culture. For example, it is building nuances to carry out environmental and forestry cultural conservation. “I also hope that there are more participants joining in the following years,” Prof. Kuncoro said.

The event was continued with remarks from the Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Marimin, M.Sc.

Dr. Marimin also expressed his gratitude for the support for holding the Alas Bromo Festival. The background of this activity was also enlivening the 47th Dies Natalis UNS.

“In this activity, we also hold a kid puppeteer competition, a painting and coloring competition, and an inter-faculty student acoustic competition. Hopefully, through this agenda we can take care of our culture. Like through this activity, we can protect cultural heritage so that we do not lose our identity or identity as the Indonesian nation. We are also highly proud of the participating studios,” Dr. Marimin explained.

Furthermore, it was a briefing related to the management and development of KHDTK by the Head of BP2SDM (Agency for Counseling and Development of Human Resources) KLHK (Ministry of Environment and Forestry) represented by Imam Santoso. He said that the use of KHDTK Alas Bromo UNS was appropriate. “In the future I hope KHDTK Alas Bromo UNS can further expand its usefulness for education and research forests,” Imam Santoso concluded. The post Commemorating 47th Dies Natalis UNS, UPT PPK UNS Holds Alas Bromo Festival and UNSFac Forest Acoustic 2023 appeared first on Universitas Sebelas Maret.

The winners were entitled to receive cash prizes. On the 11 km route, 1st place of male category was won by Nofeldi Petingko and 1st place of female category was won by Anjasari Dewi. To uns.ac.id, Anjasari Dewi, or often called Dewi, said that she was very happy when she finished first.

“I feel very happy to finish first, Alhamdulillah. It’s also extraordinary because the route goes up and down,” she said.

Previously, Dewi, the female runner from Bandung, had participated in a similar event at UNS, namely the 11k Solo Open several years ago. However, she had not managed to reach the finish in first place. She also often participated in similar events in various cities. Through her preparation with regular training, finally in the IKA UNS Color Run, she was able to take first place in the 11 km female category.

 “Indeed, I deliberately took part in the IKA UNS Color Run, actually I was also had holiday in Solo. So that travelling while participating in the competition, like that, Alhamdulillah, I am able to win,” she added.

In addition to cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners, there were also dozens of door prizes for participants distributed through a drawing or lottery system. Some of the prizes that were distributed included NMax motorbikes, electric motorbikes, Iphone 14, bicycles, precious golds, and many other interesting door prizes.

One of the participants who got a doorprize for an Nmax motorbike, Desi Indah, admitted that she was very happy and did not expect it.

“Alhamdulillah, I’m very happy because at first my intention was just to get the medal. There is no expectations, moreover getting a motorbike,” she said.

The event was opened directly by the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka by raising the flag at the start point. Apart from Gibran, it was also attended the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, Head of IKA UNS, Ir. Budi Harto; and several university leaders.

Prof. Jamal appreciated the running competition which was held in commemoration of the 47th Dies Natalis UNS.

“I appreciate the committee that has held this event. I hope that the IKA UNS Color Run will become an annual agenda ahead of the Dies Natalis. Not only being a sport event, but also this event is a forum for UNS alumni to meet again on campus. Moreover, many participants and alumni from out of town have come to take part in this event,” he said while giving his speech.

Furthermore, he said that the presence of alumni from various cities and provinces in celebrating this event was a form of alumni’s concern for the almamater which had become a place to study.

“Hopefully next year, there will be even more participants and more alumni who will be able to come to UNS,” he added.

The Mayor of Surakarta also appreciated this running competition event.

“I welcome this event, the activity is lively and positive. We, from the City Government, are very supportive,” he said after the event.

There were three choices of routes in this race: 3 km, 5 km and 11 km. Runners in the male and female categories who manage to finish in first to third place were entitled to receive cash prizes as champions. Meanwhile, runners who successfully completed the route would receive a medal. In addition, there were also various interesting doorprizes with a total of Rp. 270 million which were drawn for participants in this event. Humas UNS
