UNS — Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, Career Development Center (CDC) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta believes that opportunities are left to be seized through innovation. Dr. Kusnandar, as the Chief of CDC UNS, mentioned that digital technology development had brought profound changes, widely regarded as the disruption. Thus, innovation is needed to adapt to the new era. The digital technology development, innovation, and pandemic have encouraged CDC UNS to innovate.
As mentioned by Rezky Lasekti Wicaksono, S.Hut., M.Sc., in Virtual UNS Job Fair XXI, amid the pandemic, people believe that there are opportunities left to be seized. “CDC uses this opportunity to perform disruption from the previous system of offline Job Fair and held it in an online context,” Rezky said. As the chairman of the committee, Rezky added that the Virtual UNS Job Fair XXI is inseparable from the innovations developed by the IT CDC team by improving the website with the addition of new features that facilitate job seekers, employers, and e-CDC operator. The new features are the Job Fair, Webinar, and Rate Us.
In their Job Fair feature, CDC UNS provides open recruitment information for job seekers and a page for employers to offer the jobs. Webinar feature allows job seekers to watch Webinar interconnected to the CDC YouTube channel. The last innovation, the Rate Us feature, allows users to submit suggestions to CDC for continuous improvement. Through these innovations, CDC UNS successfully held the first Virtual UNS Job Fair XXI for two days on 28 – 29 April 2021. UNS Job Fair was held offline in 2019. Humas UNS
