UNS – The Central Implementation Team for the National Selection for New Student Admissions (SNPMB) conducted Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of the Computer-Based Writing Examination (UTBK) of the Test-Based National Selection (SNBT) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta on Sunday (14/5/ 2023). The SNPMB Implementation Team was led by the Chief Executive of SNPMB, Prof. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto.
On this occasion, the SNPMB Implementation Team was immediately welcomed by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Ahmad Yunus, the Head of UPT SPMB UNS, Prof. Hadiwiyono, the Head of UPT ICT UNS, Prof. Bambang Harjito and all UNS UTBK-SNBT committee members.
The visit was carried out during the implementation of the first batch of UTBK-SNBT at UNS on the last day. After gathering at building Dr. Prakosa UNS, the UTBK-SNBT 2023 Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Team made their first visit to the Faculty of Engineering (FT) Building UNS, followed by the ICT UPT UNS, and the Faculty of Medicine (FK) UNS. During each visit to the room where the UTBK was held, the Monev Team also ensured that all facilities were functioning properly so as not to hinder the test.
During this visit, the Monev Team immediately visited a number of test rooms to see how the UTBK-SNBT 2023 was going at UNS. The monitoring and evaluation team also evaluated the performance of the committee to ensure that the entire 2023 UTBK-SNBT activity at UNS ran smoothly.
After conducting a direct visit to the test location and ensuring that the implementation of the UTBK-SNBT 2023 at UNS was going well as it should, the Chief Executive of SNPMB, Prof. Budi Prasetyo Widyobroto expressed his appreciation to UNS.
“My response to the UTBK-SNBT 2023 implementation at UNS has been very good. This is because starting from the first day, the implementation of the UTBK-SNBT 2023 at UNS did not experience any problems. From the locations that we have visited, in every room for the implementation of the UTBK-SNBT 2023 there is a control room. Thus, the control room can help if later there are indications of cheating from the participants,” Prof. Budi said.
Furthermore, Prof. Budi added that in terms of infrastructure and class preparation before the test, UNS had done very well. “Therefore, I ordered that it be maintained and improved for the future,” Prof. Budi added.
Prof. Budi also said that his party is always improving security, especially to minimize question leakage, as well as cheating by participants. Prof. Budi also appealed to all committees and supervisors to carry out strict examinations so that there are no indications of fraud and to avoid acts that deviate from the provisions.
Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Ahmad Yunus thanked the SNPMB Implementation Team for their visit.
“We, from UNS, will continue to improve the quality of service and preparation for the future implementation of UTBK-SNBT. Thank you for the input given by the Monev Team. Hopefully in the future we can carry out UTBK-SNBT even better,” Prof. Yunus concluded. Humas UNS
