UNS – Rehabilitation and maintenance is a crucial thing to extend the infrastructure. Rehabilitation included many aspects such as improvement, strengthening, revitalization, renovation, and restoration. While maintenance covers all efforts to maintain buildings and infrastructure so as to perform service functions as planned.
Therefore, the Civil Engineering Department of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Sebelas Maret (FT UNS) Surakarta, initiated a meeting of civil engineers from academics, researchers, planners, designers, consultants and contractors in The 4th International Conference on Rehabilitation and Maintenance in Civil Engineering on Wednesday (7/11/2018) at Best Western Premier Solo Baru. The event allowed participants to exchange ideas and information on research findings, studies, and experiences especially in the areas of rehabilitation and maintenance.
Keynote speakers in the event were Petr Hajek (Czech, fib president), Kenichiro Nakarai (Japan, materials expert/structure), Hung Jiun Liao (Taiwan, stability expert on the slopes), Chan Weng Tat (Singapore, structuralist), Ravi Ravindrajah (Australia, material/structure expert), Muhammad bin Ismail (Malaysia, material/structural expert), Apiniti (Thailand, geotechnical expert), Masyhur Irsyam (ITB, Seismic expert, keta HATTI), and Yusep Muslih (UNS, geotechnical expert ).
Meanwhile the invited speakers were Agus Setyo Muntohar (UMY, geotechnical expert), Han Ay Lie (UNDIP, concrete material expert), Agus Maryoto (UNSOED, material expert), Yusron Sa’adi (Unram, SDA expert), and Sarah Zorob (Kuwait, a highway material expert).
