UNS — To enliven the 46th Anniversary of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), the Faculty of Medicine (FK) in collaboration with the Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) UNS, the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) of Surakarta City, and the KSR PMI UNS held a blood donor at the Auditorium G.P.H. Haryo Mataram UNS, Tuesday (15/3/2022). The Chairperson for the 46th UNS Anniversary, Prof. Dr. Reviono, dr., Sp. P(K), in his remarks, thanked all parties who assisted in the blood donor implementation as part of the 46th UNS Anniversary. “And for this morning, Alhamdulillah, we organized blood donors. Thank you to all the committees and donors for donating their blood. Because the donated blood will be very beneficial for those in need,” explained Prof. Reviono.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Blood Donor Committee, Prof. Dr. Bandi, M.Si., Ak., thanked the ‘heroes of humanity,’ in this case, the donors who have donated the blood. “This Blood Donor activity is regularly held every 11th. However, in March, because the 11th of yesterday coincided with the Open Session of the Academic Senate, the blood donor was postponed to the 15th,” said Prof. Bandi
Prof. Bandi added that the UNS academics members who participated in the Blood Donor activities were very enthusiastic. In the previous months, the number of donors was around 50, but there were more than 100 in March.
Opened the event directly, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, SH, M.Hum., thanked all committee members of the 46th UNS Anniversary. “The 46th Anniversary Committee is very outstanding because they can invite Mr. President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. Joko Widodo, to inaugurate the UNS Tower Ki Hadjar Dewantara Building,” explained Prof. Jamal.
Prof. Jamal hopes for more and more UNS academics member to donate their blood because this blood donor activity is a noble activity that can help each other. “The hope is for the campus to be not only an Ivory Tower but must be able to become the Water Tower. We thank all those who have participated in this activity, including the sponsors,” said Prof. Jamal.
In this blood donor activity, vitamin supplements from PT Ifars Pharmaceutical Laboratories (PT IFARS) were also distributed to the donors. Humas UNS
