UNS – UPT Library of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta collaborated with Indonesia New Generation Community (GenBI) Solo from Representative Office (KPw) of Bank Indonesia Solo held Talk show under the theme “How to be a Citizen Journalist“. The event was held to commemorate World Book Day on Monday (23/04/2018) at the 2nd floor of UNS Library.

World Book Day, UNS Library Cooperates with Bank Indonesia Solo to Hold Journalism Talk Show under the theme “How to be a Citizen Journalist” on Monday (23/04/2018) at the 2nd floor seminar room of UNS Library.
There were 130 participants who attended to this agenda. It was aimed at fostering the interest as well as at increasing and appreciating the students in developing their potential on reading and writing.
Two invited keynote speakers are Suwarmin as Chief of Editor of Solopos Media Group and Bakti Artanta as the Head of BI Solo Team with moderator of KNPI Chairman, Bambang Nugroho. Daryono as the deputy head of the UNS Library also attended this event.
Daryono expressed his gratitude to the Bank Indonesia who has cooperated with UNS Library to hold this agenda and the provision of BI corner in the UNS Library.
“This activity is very beneficial to gain interest in reading and writing in Indonesia, so that the next generations are ready to face the challenges in the future,” Daryono explained.
Bakti Artanta conveyed that BI has two objectives, they are in the context of the integrity of policy communication and in the context of publication related to the tasks of Bank Indonesia. One of the task that has been done is by providing BI Corner or reading corner in UNS.
“Through BI Corner that we have provided, we hope Indonesia citizens are able to grow interest in reading and understand the responsibility of Bank Indonesia,” he said. humas-red.uns.ac.id/Ath/Dty
