UNS — Delightful news came from Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) program received A-level accreditation based on the Decision Letter Number 9589/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PPJ/S/VII/2021, effective from 22 July 2021.
When contacted by the uns.ac.id, Dr. Idam Ragil Widianto Atmojo, S.PD., M.Si., as the Head of PGSD UNS, stated that this achievement is a gift and mandate for PGSD UNS. This accreditation will assist in institutional development, particularly from PGSD, in the future.
“This accreditation will greatly help students develop their career during their study and after graduated,” Dr. Idam stated on Friday (23/7/2021).
The collaboration and partnership among all academic members in PGSD, FKIP UNS, and the university executive board are the keys to this accreditation. PGSD UNS always makes efforts to implement Higher Education Tri Dharma, develop students’ potential and achievement, and serve students with service excellence and wholeheartedly.
PGSD UNS is also continuously improving its quality to achieve international standards. “For us, this (accreditation) is not the end of the journey. But a beginning to be better and get prepared for international accreditation in 2022,” Dr. Idam stated.
At the end of the interview, Dr. Idam shared his expectation that PGSD UNS be JAYA (Juara, Aktif, Yakin, and Akhlak Mulia – Accomplished, Active, Confident, and Noble Characters) as the slogan of the program, to be the leading program in shaping high-quality teachers in elementary school level, and ACTIVE in contributing to the national and international education.
“Believe that our alumni have the quality that could provide applicable contribution and each alumnus has noble characters and become role model in the society,” he added. Humas UNS
