UNS — The Council of Rector of Indonesian State University (CRISU) held halalbihalal for Eid Al’Fitr 1442 H on Monday (24/5/2021). The Chief of CRISU and the Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, the Rector of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), the Rector of Universitas Negeri Surabaya (Unesa), the Rector of Universitas Hasanuddin (Unhas) and other Rectors attended the event.
On this occasion, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal, reminded the attendees to maintain and improve silaturahim, especially in the Eid Al’Fitr moment. Prof. Jamal hopes that the use of virtual media does not reduce the silaturahim spirit among the rectors. Prof. Jamal also hopes that the short halalbihalal could improve their knowledge and capacity as the leader of a public university.
“I think two hours of Prof. Kadarsyah’s speech is not enough to upgrade ourselves as rector. But time limit us, so (we) should continue maintaining silaturahim by attending future meetings,” Prof. Jamal stated in the event held through the Zoom Cloud Meeting platform.
The Directorate General of Higher Education, Prof. Ir. Nizam, also delivered his remark to all the rectors that attended the occasion. He also reminded all the rectors to strengthen the Kampus Merdeka spirit in their respective universities.
“I hope what we promoted so far, Kampus Merdeka program that aims to ensure that our graduates get a job, we should prepare it through the transformation of our universities,” he added.
Professor Ir. Nizam also said that the Kampus Merdeka program is beneficial to equip the graduates in searching for jobs. He hopes that university graduates are not just supported with a diploma but also real competence and skills for job. Humas UNS
