UNSThe Information Technology Diploma Program (D3 IT) at the Vocational School (SV) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta proudly organized the Technopreneur Academy 2024. This event aimed to prepare the D3 IT vocational startup teams at UNS to become proficient in creating IT innovations and professional business plans.

The two-day event, held on Friday (14/6/2024) and Thursday (20/6/2024), successfully attracted 100 participants and took place in the UNS Vocational Auditorium.

The first day opened with a mentoring session by Ratih Rachmatika, Founder and CEO of SIAB Indonesia. She delivered crucial material on “How to Make a Business Plan for IT Startup.” In this session, participants gained in-depth knowledge on the critical steps in drafting a solid and sustainable business plan in the IT sector, as well as how to write professional proposals.

On the second day, Randi Apriansyah, a Startup Founder and Senior UI/UX expert, delivered an inspiring session on “Competitive Spirit with Startup Innovation and Pitching Fundamentals.” This session emphasized the importance of innovation in the startup world and provided practical guidance for startup teams on effective pitching to potential investors and business partners.

The Head of the D3 IT Program at SV UNS, Eko Harry Pratisto, S.T., M.Info.Tech., Ph.D., stated that this event was organized by the D3 IT Program at UNS and EmailKomp, moderated by experienced moderators, Fiddin Yusfida A’La, S.T., M.Eng., and Yudho Yudhanto, S.Kom., M.Kom.

The highlight of Technopreneur Academy 2024 was the pitching and review session held on the final day. Five innovative startup teams were selected from the 17 participating teams to present their startup ideas to the mentors and other participants. The teams that had the opportunity to pitch were Barkaz, Eggcellent Tracker, NutriHype, Panel Surya RT, and PTNGuide. “Each team received valuable feedback from the mentors, which will help them develop and refine their products and project proposals moving forward,” Eko explained.

Technopreneur Academy 2024 not only provided valuable knowledge and skills to the participants but also fostered a spirit of collaboration and innovation among the students. “This event is expected to serve as a foundation for many students to embark on their journey in the tech startup world and contribute to the advancement of the technology industry in Indonesia. See you again at Technopreneur Academy 2025,” he concluded.
