UNS — Director of the Center for Indonesian Digital Industry (PIDI) 4.0 under the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin), Tirta Wisnu Permana made a visit to Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. The on-site visit was welcomed directly by UNS representatives on Friday (21/1/2022). The Vice-Rector for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. rer. nat Sajidan welcomed the Director of PIDI 4.0 and his entourage in Meeting Room 1, dr. Prakosa UNS.
PIDI 4.0 is a new institution established as a solution for industry 4.0 implementation in Indonesia, inaugurated by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs in December 2021, with a capacity-building program in Jakarta. This visit to UNS was the first step to introducing PIDI to the university. This visit is also a form of PIDI 4.0’s efforts to earn support from universities.
“We deliberately visited UNS with the hope that the ecosystem in PIDI will receive support from universities with similar concern on accelerating digital transformation in Indonesia,” said the Director of PIDI 4.0, Tirta Wisnu Permana.
This intention was appreciated by Prof. Sajidan, who directly welcomed the visit. In line with the Director of PIDI 4.0, Prof. Sajidan also hopes that this visit can be the beginning of a partnership between the two institutions to improve the digital ecosystem at UNS.
“My gratitude went to PIDI 4.0 for your presence and cooperation. Hopefully, the establishment of PIDI can improve digital economy-related programs and digital creative initiatives, thus, we can establish a partnership and work together,” said Prof. Sajidan.
Besides Prof. Sajidan, the Director of Partnership, Development, and Internationalization UNS, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, Ph.D., and the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNS, Dr. techn. Ir. Sholihin As’ad also attended this welcoming ceremony. After brief coordination, the Director of PIDI 4.0 and his entourage visited FT UNS and the PUI Center for Fintech and Banking UNS (UNS Fintech Center) to review the facilities and field conditions.
