UNS – The Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta shared Ramadan packages for 1445 H. In distributing these Ramadan packages, DWP UNS collaborated with sponsors from BNI, Bank Mandiri, BRI, Bank Jateng, BTN, PT Konimex, and FKS Food. The symbolic handover took place at Meeting Room 4 of the dr. Prakosa Building, UNS, on Tuesday (4/2/2024).

Present at the event were the Acting Vice-Rector for General Affairs and Human Resources (HR) of UNS, Prof. Dr. E. Muhtar, S.Pd., M.Si., CFrA; the Acting Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of UNS, Prof. Dr. Kuncoro Diharjo, S.T., M.T.; the Acting Vice-Rector for Planning, Cooperation, Business, and Information of UNS, Prof. Irwan Trinugroho, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D.; Deans within UNS, and representatives from partner institutions who donated to the DWP Ramadan Package Sharing initiative.

In her address, the Acting Chairwoman of DWP UNS, Arlin Kuncoro Diharjo, S.E., stated that DWP UNS provided 1.150 Ramadan packages for 1445 H. These packages were distributed to security personnel (security units) at UNS, both at the central office, faculties, and Tower UNS, cleaning personnel (janitors) in all faculties, cleaning personnel in the grounds and gardens at the central office area, as well as all drivers at UNS, cleaning personnel at the Nurul Huda Mosque UNS, volunteers at the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) Waste Bank, and street vendors who sell their goods in front of the UNS campus.

“We from DWP UNS express our gratitude to the sponsors, namely BNI, Bank Mandiri, BRI, Bank Jateng, BTN, PT Konimex, and FKS Food, who have provided assistance in this sharing activity. Out of the 1.150 packages, DWP UNS contributed 200 packages, while the rest were from sponsors,” Arlin explained.

During the Ramadan of 1445 H, DWP UNS has been engaged in various social activities. In addition to sharing Ramadan packages, DWP UNS also provided iftar menus at the Nurul Huda Mosque UNS. “During the Ramadan of 1445 H, DWP has twice provided iftar menus for worshippers at the Nurul Huda Mosque every Friday. DWP UNS provided 1.250 portions of iftar menus. And DWP UNS also donated 90 kg of dates for iftar menus at the Nurul Huda Mosque,” Arlin added.

Furthermore, DWP UNS Peduli also raised funds from its members for flood victims in Demak and Kudus, amounting to Rp 11.500.000.

The Chairman of the 48th UNS Dies Natalis, Drs. Harjana, M.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., expressed his gratitude to DWP UNS for participating in the 48th UNS Dies Natalis celebrations with sharing activities. “This sharing activity is extraordinary because the number of packages distributed reaches thousands. Thank you to DWP UNS and the sponsors who have helped. If UNS Dies Natalis agendas, such as social service (Baksos), target areas outside of UNS, DWP can complement them by targeting UNS internal social service,” Harjana said.

The Acting Vice-Rector for General Affairs and HR of UNS, Prof. Dr. E. Muhtar, S.Pd., M.Si., CFrA, highly appreciated the Ramadan package sharing activity organized by DWP UNS. Prof. Muhtar also expressed his gratitude to the sponsors who provided donations for this activity. “This activity is very beneficial. On behalf of the UNS leadership, I express my gratitude to DWP UNS and the sponsors, and we also extend our highest gratitude to the recipients of the packages for attending and receiving the Ramadan packages from DWP UNS. These package recipients have made significant contributions to UNS. May this activity bring goodness to all of us,” Prof. Muhtar said.

Meanwhile, Brand Manager of BNI Surakarta Branch, Yudi Darmawan, representing the sponsors, expressed pride in being involved in the DWP UNS Ramadan Package Sharing activity. “This activity will be very beneficial and, InsyaAllah, will bring blessings to everyone. We will continue to support activities like this in the future,” Yudi explained.
