UNS — Students from Biology Education Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta utilized natural components in their new business. Through their Ecoprint Solo Indonesia (Etlo.id) product, these seven students, Dwika Sarnia Putri, Adha Nisfatulsanah, Aidah Fitriana, Alysa Nur Chasanah Alam Majid, Fullaikhah Anjani, Mefta Rizki Qurrat’Aini, and Tri Setia Kurnia Nuri, started their business from UNS Digitalpreneur 2020.
The team won the funding from UNS Student Affairs Department and has been consistently developing their products to this day. Dwika, the team leader of Etlo.id shared that they received positive reviews and supports from Biology Education Program UNS. Etlo.id born from their interest in entrepreneurial activities that has a connection with their bachelor program.
Currently, Etlo.id products are marketed online and offline through @etlo.id Instagram account. The products offered by the team are patterned fabric, mask, clothes, pouch, and hijab. The production process that includes fabric preparation, eco print process, oxidation, and fixation was carried out in the Botanical Laboratory of Biology Education Program UNS
Representing her friends, Dwika hopes that Etlo.id could be a sustainable business and motivates UNS students to create and work more. “Hopefully, Etlo.id project will continue, and hopefully, what we are doing could motivate our juniors and all new students, especially in Biology Education Program. Hopefully, they have a sense of belonging toward the program, and we want to bring a proud name for FKIP and UNS,” she said. Humas UNS
