The International Conference on Teacher Training and Education (ICTTE) is an annual meeting organized by The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta. It is a forum for researchers, academicians, teachers, school principals, government agencies, and consultants around the world to share their insights related to the quality improvement of teacher training and education.
The conference is regularly held in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia, and featured by keynote speakers who are leading international experts as well as authors of all accepted papers. The main language used in this conference is English. The 1st ICTTE was held on 5-6 November 2015, and the 2nd ICTTE will be coincidentally organized with The Workshop TPACK, on 23-24 November 2016 in Lor in Hotel, Surakarta. This year’s ICTTE theme is “Strengthening IT and Innovation of Teacher Training Education in the Era of Global Competitiveness”.
The speakers of the 2nd ICTTE are Shao-Ting Alan Hung (National Taiwan University of Science and Technology), Chai Ching Sing (Sciences and Technologies Academic Group National Institute of Education Singapore), Uma Natarajan (The Head Foundation Singapore), Abi Sujak (Director of SEAMOLEC), Ari Santoso (Director of Center for Information and Technology, The Ministry of Education and Culture), Agus Setiawan (Asosiasi Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan Indonesia), and Nunuk Suryani (Faculty of Teacher Training and Education UNS).
This conference is concerned on 6 topic areas, namely: (1) Institutional Quality of Teacher Training and Education; (2) Standardized Curriculum of Teacher Training and Education; (3) Innovation in Teaching, Learning, and Assessment of Teacher Training and Education; (4) Quality of Educational Research and Community Services of Teacher Training and Education; (5) Course Development and Teaching Practices in Teacher Training and Education; (6) Voices from Schools.
