UNS — Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta achieved glorious accomplishments in University Student Annual Education Festival (Festa) Communication Forum (Forkom) State FKIP in Indonesia. The delegations of FKIP UNS won eight awards as announced in the offline State FKIP in Indonesia Leadership Forkom in Universitas Riau (Unri).
The awards are the Best Teacher Microteaching for Endah Yuliana Lestari, 2nd runner up in online learning media competition for Aulia Akhmad Fahreza and Putriana Dafa, 1st winner in the Indonesia Language Debate Competition for Team UNS A (Kamsu Aji Wiguna and Zalfaa Azalia Pursita), Best Speaker Award for Kamsu Aji Wiguna, Akhmad Mukhibun, Farah Yuki Prasetyawati, and Zalfaa Azalia Pursita, Top Rank on scientific writing competition for Dji Hanafit as team leader, 2nd runner up in jingle creation for Laras Kusuma Wardani. The proud achievement was recorded in the Best Speaker Award, in which FKIP UNS won four out of six awards, consecutively from 1st to 4th place.
Prof. Slamet Subiyantoro, M.Si., Vice-Dean for Academic, Research, and Student Affairs FKIP UNS, shared his delight over the accomplishments in Festa Forkom announced on Thursday (2/12/2021). He stated that the accomplishments are proof of the strong quality withheld by FKIP UNS, although there is a certain competition that FKIP UNS had not succeeded in. “That is a material of evaluation for us,” Prof. Slamet stated on Saturday (25/12/2021).
In the future, the Vice-Dean and the Unit for Students Affairs and Achievements FKIP UNS will conduct evaluation and provide better assistance and supervision for its delegates in the future Festa Forkom that will be held in Universitas Mataram (Unram). Although the competitions are yet to be announced by the host university, Prof. Slamet stated that he is not worried because he knew his students have diverse potentials and talents.
Dji Hanafit, as one of the awardees, shared his gratitude with uns.ac.id and stated that he did not expect to achieve such an accomplishment because of the limited preparation.
“But Alhamdulillah (I) still could do the best, thanks to the prayers from my parents, supervision from Bapak Taufik Wisnu Saputra S.Pd., M.Pd. from Mechanical Engineering Education Program and team works,” Dji added. Humas UNS
