UNS — Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta signed a collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) on Friday (11/2/2022). The signing ceremony held in Ruang Sidang I Building A FKIP UNS was also followed by an initial discussion by FKIP UNS to prepare a Roadmap for Digital Economy Masterplan in Tourism and Creative Economy Sector.
The Dean of FKIP UNS, Dr. Mardiyana, M.Si., welcomed all the invited guests from Kemenparekraf. “Welcome to the Director and all staff of Kemenparekraf to FKIP UNS,” Dr. Mardiyana stated before explaining that FKIP UNS is located besides Kawasan Pelopor and Benteng Pancasila UNS that offers a place of worship for all official religions in Indonesia; Mosque, Church, Buddhist Temple, Hindu Temple, and Confucian Temple. The area represents the diversity and tolerance among the religions and is expected to facilitate UNS students with diverse religions.
Dr. Mardiyana also stated that this collaboration aligns with UNS 46th Anniversary theme ‘UNS Internationalization and Digital Technology-based Innovation Development towards Creative Economy Development,’ which will include an exhibition of all creative economy products from all faculties in UNS. Therefore, it is greatly expected that the collaboration could be implemented through various activities that support creative economy programs. The collaboration is also expected to benefit FKIP UNS, UNS, Kemenparekraf, and the community.
Kemenparekraf, especially the Digital Economy Governance, is very enthusiastic about this collaboration. The Director of Digital Economy Governance Kemenparekraf, Selliane Halia Ishak, S.Kom., M.Si., stated that her division covers planning, technical implementation, monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of digital economy governance in tourism and creative economy sectors. These functions align with the mission shared by the Dean of FKIP.
Therefore, the collaboration will be implemented through diverse activities such as developing governance for the digital economy in tourism and creative economy sectors, providing a reference for journal publication, preparing recommendations of the roadmap for digital transformation in tourism and creative economy sectors, preparing a roadmap for digital transformation in tourism and creative economy sectors, and providing data and information as a reference from the developed roadmap.
Selliane reminded that this collaboration should not stop in the write-up but need to be implemented and benefit Kemenparekraf, FKIP UNS, and the community. She also congratulates UNS on its 46th Anniversary. “Hopefully, it runs smoothly and successfully; keep the spirit,” Selliane stated.
