UNS — Proud achievement once again accomplished by Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta student from Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP). Abdul Azis won 3rd Place in the national micro-teaching competition held by PGSD FKIP UNS from 25 November to 21 December 2021.
Abdul Azis or Azis shared to the uns.ac.id team that the competition applied a discovery method that required students to apply their comprehension.
“The video combines teaching video and visual component to increase the amiability of the lessons. The process was interesting and exciting. At first (I) was not really interesting, but with the PLP experiences in the elementary school and encouragement to participate, at last, I participated in the competition,” Aziz stated on Wednesday (5/1/2022).
The final semester student stated that he tried to prepare his work with maximum effort and was delighted with the extension of the submission deadline because he made a mistake during video taking process.
“Sometimes what was said is not match with the text. But alhamdulillah, I was very grateful because this is the first microteaching competition that I participated in, and I won 3rd Place,” he added.
Before concluding the interview, Aziz hoped that more students would be willing to hone and improve their teaching skills and accomplish achievements for their alma mater. Humas UNS
