UNS — Students of the Pancasila and Civics Education Study Program (PPKn), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, was inaugurated as Student Ambassadors for Jepara Regency Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) in 2021-2022. He is Slamet Ginanjar.
Ginanjar said he needs to encourage himself to participate in the NU Student Ambassador Selection event. “The fight against myself, against laziness, fear, and of course against a lack of confidence, because during the competition, the participants were mostly student ambassadors from their respective sub-districts, and at that time, there was no student ambassador competition in my sub-district. Hence, at the district level competition, I really had to fight my lack of confidence due to my lack of experience,” explained Ginanjar, Monday (31/1/2022).
While serving as a NU Student Ambassador, his duty is to set an example and an appropriate image for NU students. “My duties as NU Student Ambassador include providing an example and a good image following the NU students tagline, namely learning, striving, and being pious. The Student Ambassadors for Jepara Regency have currently built the Podsis Makin (Podcast Islami Masa Kini-Today’s Islamic Podcast) and are preparing to establish a discussion group in 2022,” explained Ginanjar.
To this day, Ginanjar holds on to a life motto to always be a productive person. “Fill your time with productivity because the world is not the final resting place, so move on or be replaced,” explained Ginanjar.
At the end of the interview, Ginanjar advised his fellow UNS students to be grateful to hold a student status. “I am grateful to be a student because not everyone in this country can achieve this status. So, do not waste the opportunity; look for your potential, then grow and develop it the best you can,” said Ginanjar. Humas UNS
