With these results, UNS ranked 6 from 28 universities participated in the 2021 Petanque National Championship for University Students. The members of the FKOR UNS team are also a member of the Student Association (UKM) Petanque UNS supervised by Dr. Satria Yudi Gontara M.Or.
According to their supervisor, the team went through a month of training with minimum offline meetings with team members due to the pandemic condition. “The weather that often rains during training is also unpredictable,” he stated to uns.ac.id on Tuesday (9/11/2021). Dr. Satria also encouraged online training using the Petanque Sakti application he made that the students could run on their phones. “I created the application because of the Covid-19 pandemic and learning process that is still held online to this day,” Dr. Satria explained.
Further, he stated that the training brought great results that could be used as training materials for the following periods. “There will be stages of the process in which early-semester students should replace their seniors to accomplish something with Petanque UNS,” Dr. Satria concluded.
