UNS – Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held the International Final Project Exhibition 2023, an international showcase of their final projects. The exhibition featured works from the final stages of all four study programs at FSRD UNS, namely the Fine Arts study program (painting, sculpture, graphic, ceramics), Visual Communication Design study program, Interior Design study program, and Art/Craft Textile study program. Additionally, the exhibition also showcased works from foreign universities such as Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia, and Poh-Chang Academy of Arts, Rajamangala University of Technology Rattanakosin Thailand.
The final project, themed “Not An Extra Ordinary Exhibition”, took place in the UNS Mesen Campus Hall from Thursday (3/8/2023) to Saturday (5/8/2023).
The exhibition was officially opened by the Dean of FSRD UNS, Prof. Dr. Rahmanu Widayat, M.Sn. Prof. Rahmanu said that the exhibition was open to the public so that the showcased works could also be assessed by the public to improve in the future.
“Through this exhibition, FSRD UNS demonstrates its existence beyond activities like book or journal writing. Exhibitions are a form of activity. In this exhibition, we not only have the participation of the four study programs at FSRD UNS, but also students from abroad, such as those from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Teknologi MARA Malaysia, and Poh-Chang Academy of Arts Thailand. Moreover, I see this event as extraordinary, and I hope the exhibition runs smoothly,” Prof. Rahmanu said.

The Exhibition Committee Chairman, Dr. Sigit Purnomo Adi, S.Sn., M.Sn. said that the exhibition entitled The Final Project “Not An Extra Ordinary Exhibition” was a distinctive exhibition. For the first time, the exhibition was showcased to the public and was also enlivened by workshops that could be attended by high school students, vocational high school students and the general public.
“I hope this exhibition will spark a creative climate and serve as a platform to promote products resulting from these works. We also hope that the exhibition and workshop will be successful,” Dr. Sigit concluded. Humas UNS
