UNS – The Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta organized ArtWeek 2024 from Wednesday, May 29, 2024, to Friday, May 31, 2024. The event, held at the HB. Sutopo Building of FSRD UNS, showcased a variety of works created by FSRD UNS students.
Alfiyah Yasmin, Chair of the ArtWeek 2024 Committee, expressed her gratitude to all the committee members for their hard work in making ArtWeek 2024 a success.
“Thank you to all the committee members for their hard work in preparing for ArtWeek 2024, making the three-day event run smoothly and festively,” Alfiyah said.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Rahmanu Widayat, M.Sn., Dean of FSRD UNS, congratulated and thanked the committee and all FSRD UNS students for the successful organization of ArtWeek 2024.
“I extend my gratitude, congratulations, and best wishes to the committee and all FSRD UNS students for successfully organizing ArtWeek 2024 over these three days. I hope this event can attract the general public to better appreciate art and culture,” Prof. Rahmanu said.
Prof. Rahmanu also expressed his hope that ArtWeek will continue to be held in the coming years, with improvements each year.
The opening of ArtWeek 2024 was marked by the symbolic striking of a gong by the Dean of FSRD UNS. In addition to the art exhibition, ArtWeek 2024 featured student performances, talk shows, and a fashion show.
