UNS – In their commitment to community service, the Research Group on Materials and Magnetic Sensors, Physics Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, conducted a community activity on the development research group for the application of artificial intelligence in the medical field. This activity was held for the academic community of the Faculty of Computer Science, University Duta Bangsa. This event took place at the Universitas Duta Bangsa Campus located at Jalan Bhayangkara No. 55, Serengan, Surakarta.
As stated by the Chairperson, Prof. Nuryani, M.Sc., Ph.D., as quoted from mipa.uns.ac.id on Thursday (6/7/2023), this activity aimed to disseminate research related to artificial intelligence for medical diagnosis to the lecturers at the Faculty of Computer Science, Universitas Duta Bangsa. Through this activity, it is expected to have a positive impact on the development of research groups both at UNS and at the Faculty of Computer Science at Universitas Duta Bangsa, particularly in the research topic of applying artificial intelligence in the medical field. The activity, held in early June, was also intended to enhance research collaboration between the Physics Study Program UNS and the Faculty of Computer Science Universitas Duta Bangsa.
“As we know, artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in the medical field. With its ability to analyze data quickly and detect complex patterns, artificial intelligence can assist in disease diagnosis, patient monitoring, and the development of more effective therapies,” Prof. Nuryani explained.
Artificial intelligence can also predict disease risk based on genetic factors and lifestyle, provide treatment recommendations, and assist in medical research and the development of new drugs. With the continuous advancement of artificial intelligence, the potential to improve the quality of healthcare and save lives is even increasing in the medical world. Humas UNS
