UNSThe Professional Certification Institute (LSP) at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta has once again conducted a Student Competency Test. This regular activity, held every two months, has now entered its 25th period. The competency test took place over two days, from May 18-19, 2024, at various Testing Centers (TUK) including the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) in Kentingan and Pabelan, Faculty of Agriculture (FP), Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), Faculty of Arts and Design (FSRD), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Engineering (FT), Faculty of Sports (FKOR), and the UPT Library UNS.

Dr. Aniek Hindrayani, S.E., M.Si., the Coordinator and Chair of LSP UNS, stated that the Regular Competency Test 25 consisted of 27 schemes. The aim of this Regular Competency Test 25 is to increase the percentage of graduates who secure employment within one year of graduation among UNS students.

“The event, held from morning until evening, was attended by 355 participants with the involvement of 57 UNS assessors. This period saw the highest interest in the Occupational Health and Safety Expert scheme, with 78 students from the Vocational School and various faculties at UNS participating,” Dr. Aniek explained.

The first day of the Regular Competency Test 25 took place on Saturday, (18/5/2024), featuring several schemes, including Junior Graphic Designer; Programmer; Occupational Health and Safety Expert; Junior Accounting Technician; Welding Engineer; Feed Quality Control Supervisor; Plant Organic Inspector; Community Empowerment Facilitator; Agribusiness Supervisor – Marketing; Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Document Preparation Cluster; Palm Oil Plantation Assistant; Agribusiness Management Level 5; Batik Pattern Designer; Public Information and Documentation Manager; Financing Management Subfield Level 6; Public Policy Analyst; Export Import Administrative Staff; Operational Service Area Marketing Staff; Brand Operational Area Marketing Staff; Water Sample Collector (PCUA); Junior Web Programmer; Mapping and Geographic Information System Technician; Plant Seed Production Cluster; and Sport Massage Implementation Cluster.

The second day of the Regular Competency Test 25, held on Sunday, (19/5/2024), included schemes such as Junior MSME Consultant; Occupational Health and Safety Expert; Assistant Plant Pest Controller (OPT); Plant Organic Facilitator; Plant Organic Inspector; HACCP Document Preparation Cluster; Agribusiness Management Level 5; Public Information and Documentation Manager; Junior Art Director; Public Policy Analyst; Water Sample Collector (PCUA); and Mapping and Geographic Information System Technician.

“The Regular Competency Test 25 went smoothly. The next agenda item is to recap the number of Competent and Not Yet Competent participants from all tested schemes and proceed with the final plenary session. I hope that through these competency tests, students will be declared competent and be well-prepared to enter the workforce,” Dr. Aniek stated. HUMAS UNS
