UNS – Representatives of Outstanding Student (Mawapres) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta won the UNS Mawapres Award 2023. They were Muhammad Hilmi Sabtiul Azmi from Office Administration Education Study Program who managed to get the 2nd place winner and Kusnul Khotimah from the Physics Education Study Program who managed to get 3rd place winner. The award was held at the UNS Inn, Monday (10/4/2023).
In his remarks, Iksan Riva Nanda as the Head of the UNS Achievement Student Association (Imapres) as well as Mawapres FKIP UNS 2022 said that this award was planned to be held in May. However, due to a change in schedule from the rectorate, the implementation of this award was brought forward. He also said that one would be chosen from the undergraduate and diploma levels to represent UNS at the regional level.
“Today it will be announced who won the championship. Everyone is sure to win. However, because this is a competition, only one undergraduate and diploma level will be chosen to represent UNS at the regional level. Hopefully my friends can become role models for other students to achieve,” Iksan said.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S. as the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs UNS advised that the innovative work proposed in this Pilmapres could be useful and implemented.
“You don’t need to think about oh I lost, I won, but think that the students here have created innovative works that I am sure will benefit the nation. I express my deepest gratitude and appreciation to all Mawapres UNS finalists who have gone through various selection stages. Hopefully, UNS representatives can win regional and national championships, “he said.
Quoted from fkip.uns.ac.id, Thursday (11/5/2023), Azmi said he was proud to be selected as a UNS Outstanding Student.
“Of course I feel proud and happy because this is the first time for my study program has passed at the university level. This Pilmapres motivates me to balance my achievements because the assessment is not only about how many times I have won but there are excellent achievements such as recognition as a speaker or MC, entrepreneurial experience, community service, and so on,” Azmi said.
On the same occasion, Kusnul felt grateful and moved to become Mawapres UNS. “I am very grateful and touched to be a UNS Outstanding Student. This is one step in becoming the best version of me, which is proof of the achievement of the long journey of struggle that has been passed.
