UNS — Student Association (UKM) of Merpati Putih Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta brought home six winnings in Bandung Lautan Api Championship 3 held by Sayap Rajawali Bandung on 20-22 December 2021.
The six winnings are 1st place in Men’s Adult Competition Category (Muhammad Reza Alhafiz/Vocational School), 2nd place in Men’s Adult Competition Category A (Arif Pramono/FKIP), 2nd place in Men’s Adult Category (Choirul Singgih Munandar/FMIPA), 2nd place in Women’s Adult Category B (Jelya Prihatiningsih/FKIP), 2nd place in Women’s Adult Category C (Ellynda Niken Wijayanti/FKOR), and 3rd place in Men’s Adult Category (Rama Aji Satrio Pamungkas/FKIP).
The competition was held on 20-22 December 2021 in Jatinangor Sport Center (GOR) Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) campus. This tournament was also the first offline competition the students participated in after several online tournaments they joined during the Covid-19 pandemic. Jelya Prihatiningsih, one of the champions, stated that she was grateful because UKM Merpati Putih could bring pride to the campus.
“This achievement was not instant. Two months before the competition, the trainers, officials, and managers, Aryo Anggoro Jati, Arya Candra Oktavian, Ali Mustofa, and Infusani Rantika Noveta Sari, prepared our physical condition through six routine exercises a week. The exercises included jogging, push up, sit up, abc running, pecingan, and other pieces of training,” Jelya stated on Sunday (16/1/2022).
The student of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program hoped that Merpati Putih UNS achievements do not stop here. “Hopefully, in the future, there are more best achievements that could be accomplished. We greatly expect that support for Merpati Putih UNS will continue to come from various parties, including the campus and its members. Jaya selalu Merpati Putih UNS!,” pungkasnya. Humas UNS
