UNS — Agridaya Team from Student Executive Board (BEM) of Faculty of Agriculture (FP) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta won funding in the Holistic Village Development and Empowerment Program (PHP2D) from the Directorate of Learning and University Students, Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The 15 people team proposed a program titled “People Economic Empowerment through Agridaya Booth as the Center for Excellent Local Product Incubation in Ngunut Village, Karanganyar toward Global Competitiveness.”.
The Team Leader, Ahmad Musthofa, stated that through this program, the Team tries to create a product from Family Medicinal Herbs (Toga) using the right composition named Sami Tresna.
“Through this program, Agridaya Team tries to create Toga product with right composition to optimize the benefits of Toga and to develop it into a product with high selling price,” Ahmad explained on Saturday (4/9/2021).
To create this product, the Agridaya Team conducted training for Toga processing on Saturday (21/8/2021) in the Ngunut Village Hall. The training was attended by limited participants from the representatives of the local community and Karang Taruna and was held under strict health protocols. Toga potential in the village is overabundance, and the community has a high spirit to develop this natural resource into a product with added values to be sold.
On this occasion, the Team invited Anif Nur Artanti, S.Farm., M.Sc. Apt., a Pharmacy Program faculty member at the Vocational School (SV) UNS, to provide two training on making instant beras kencur and ginger syrup. The training ran smoothly, and participants were enthusiastic about participating in the activity.
“Happy with this kind of event, so we have beneficial activities besides staying at home,” Diki, Karang Taruna member, stated. Humas UNS
