The socialization activity was officially opened by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. Prof. Jamal said that this event was an effort to prevent and deal with sexual violence.

“We really hope that in the future the UNS campus can become a zero accident or zero tolerance case of sexual harassment and at the same time become a comfortable home for its residents. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude and high appreciation to the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology for providing support for the PPKS UNS Task Force to carry out its mission to combat crimes against humanity on campus,” Prof. Jamal said in his speech.

Then the event continued with the presentation of material by three speakers. The first resource person was Subiyantoro, S.H., M.Sc., a representative from the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. He presented material regarding “The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology’s Policy in Efforts to Prevent and Handle Sexual Violence in Educational Institutions”.

“The supervisory strategies carried out by the Inspectorate General in handling violence in education are in the form of field monitoring, supervisory dialogue, investigative audits, and victim assistance,” he explained.

Furthermore, the second speaker was the Head of the PPKS UNS Task Force and the Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) UNS, Prof. Dr. Ismi Dwi Astuti Nurhaeni, M.Sc. She provided material regarding “The Implementation of Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence in UNS”.

Lastly, the third speaker was the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) UNS, Dr. Ir. Titis Srimuda Pitana, M. Arch. He delivered material on “Building a Safe and Comfortable Campus Ecosystem from Sexual Violence”.
