UNS — The President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Ir. H. Joko Widodo performed Friday Prayer at the Nurul Huda Mosque, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Friday (11/3/2022). This Friday’s Prayer was also attended by the Heads of State institutions, Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo, Rector of UNS and the Vice-Rectors, and UNS academic members. Friday Prayer is carried out by adhering strictly to health protocols.
The Friday Prayer speech was delivered by Drs. KH M. Dian Nafi, M.Pd. as the Administrator of PP Al Muayyad Windan. The Nurul Huda Mosque itself is a campus mosque that serves as the center of Islamic activities and dissemination in the UNS environment. Before leaving the venue, President Jokowi prayed with the UNS Leaders. The Friday prayer also marks the end of President Jokowi’s working visit to UNS.
Before this Friday’s Prayer, President Jokowi attended the Academic Senate Open Session for UNS 46th Anniversary at UNS Tower. In the Open Session of the Academic Senate, President Jokowi inaugurated the UNS Tower Ki Hadjar Dewantara Building, UNS Vocational School Campus at Madiun Campus, and visited the UNS Innovative Products Exhibition at Solo Technopark (STP).
“We thank Mr. President Joko Widodo for attending the peak of UNS 46th Anniversary, inaugurating the UNS Tower Ki Hadjar Dewantara Building, inaugurating the UNS Campus in Madiun Regency, reviewing the exhibition at STP, and Friday prayers at the UNS Nurul Huda Mosque,” said Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho.
