UNS — The Alumni Association (IKA) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta Peduli Covid-19 Program launched on July 2021 continue garnering support from various parties. This time, the railway company of Indonesia, PT. Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program granted IDR 100 million to support the program on Friday (20/8/2021).
Representatives from both institutions met at IKA UNS Peduli Covid-19 Secretariat at Griya Segaran, Jalan K. S Tubun No. 31, Manahan, Surakarta. PT. KAI was represented by four executives: Trihadi Kuncahyo (Senior Manager in Security PT. KAI Operational Region (Daop) 6 Yogyakarta), Supriyanto (Manager of Public Relations PT. KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta), Edwien (Manager of Finance PT. KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta), and the Chief of Clinic KAI Solo.
From IKA UNS, the ceremony was attended by the Secretary General of IKA UNS Bambang Dwi Wahyudi, Chief of IKA UNS Peduli Covid-19 Harry Prasetyo, Dean of Vocational School (SV) UNS, Santoso Tri Hananto, and other Vice-Deans of SV UNS.
Previously, Executive Vice President PT. KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta, Asdo Artriviyanto, has appreciated IKA UNS Peduli Covid-19 Program as a form of social responsibility. Therefore, PT. KAI was not hesitated to grant IDR 100 million fund to support the program. PT. KAI also assisted IKS UNS Peduli Covid-19 Program by providing free freight through PT. KAI Logistik (KALOG) as PT. KAI subsidiary.
“This assistance is very valuable for us IKA UNS and Solo community in facing the Covid-19 pandemic,” Secretary General IKA UNS Bambang Dwi Wahyudi, stated.
To this day, IKA UNS Peduli Covid-19 Program continues with distributing lunch from Covid-19 patients who are going through self-quarantine at home, socializing 5M and 3T (testing, tracing, and treatment), and Covid-19 patient burial. The program also provides free coffin for family in needs.
