UNS – Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta inaugurated a total of 761 graduates in period IV 2023. The graduation took place at the Auditorium G.P.H. Haryo Mataram UNS, Saturday (24/6/2023).

The 761 graduates consisted of 17 graduates from Postgraduate Schools, 22 graduates from the Faculty of Cultural Studies (FIB), 34 graduates from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP), 154 graduates from the Faculty of Law (FH), 68 graduates from the Faculty of Economics and Business. (FEB), 37 graduates from the Faculty of Medicine (FK), 32 graduates from the Faculty of Agriculture (FP), 43 graduates from the Faculty of Engineering (FT), 201 graduates from the Faculty of Teaching and Education (FKIP), 25 graduates from the Faculty of Sports (FKOR ), 49 graduates from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), 11 graduates from the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD), 41 graduates from the Vocational School (SV), 15 graduates from the Faculty of Psychology (FPsi), 5 graduates from the Faculty of Technology Information and Data Science (FATISDA), and 7 graduates from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry.

In his report, the Interim Vice Rector for Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs UNS, Prof. Dr. Ir. Ahmad Yunus, M.S. stated that out of 761 graduates, 275 graduates received the title of ‘cum laude’ or with honors.

“In addition, there are graduates with extraordinary achievements, such as the fastest graduates from the doctoral program on behalf of Rabani Meryanto Halawa from the Doctoral Study Program (Prodi) in Law with a study period of 2 years and 9 months. The youngest doctoral graduate was Hammar Ilham Akbar from the Doctoral Program in Mechanical Engineering who graduated at the age of 29 years and 2 months,” Prof. Yunus said.

Then at the magister level, the fastest and youngest graduate was Rizki Aqsyari D from the Masters in Public Health Sciences Study Program who studied for 1 year and 3 months and graduated at the age of 22 years and 10 months.

“Meanwhile, at the undergraduate level, the fastest graduate was achieved by Nurannisa Nada Arsyifa from Visual Communication Design Study Program with study duration of 3 years and 5 months. Then the youngest graduate was Jovita Shafa Maharani from the Law Study Program who graduated at the age of 20 years and 5 months,” Prof. Yunus continued.

Furthermore, the fastest and youngest graduate in the diploma IV program is Ida Ayu Komang Pradina Puspadiva from the D-IV Demography and Civil Registration Study Program with a length of study of 3 years and 9 months who graduated at the age of 22 years and 1 month. As well as the fastest and youngest graduates in the diploma program III achieved by Yulinda Putri Khoirunisa from the Taxation Study Program with a length of study of 2 years and 8 months who graduated at the age of 20 years and 11 months.

In his remarks, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum. conveyed his congratulations and appreciation for the graduation of period IV UNS graduates.

The Rector of UNS also advised all UNS graduates to have three things: skills, knowledge, and attitude, because future life is still very difficult to simulate.

“Even though, we believe that if you are able to perceive a challenge positively, the more confident you are that the challenge can be controlled. On the other hand, the more fearful and careful you perceive a challenge, the more clearly you see the challenge as a threat,” Prof. Jamal said.

Furthermore, Prof. Jamal also appealed to make the black toga and all its attributes a form of commitment and readiness to serve the community and at the same time, a powerful ammunition to conquer future tests.

“Once again, I congratulate the graduates who have successfully completed their studies. I remind you that soon you will be closer to your dream, and will be reaping the fruits of your hard work. Nothing can stop your steps now, because the ticket to your future goals is in your hands,” Prof. Jamal concluded. Humas UNS
