UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., together with the Director of Network and Services BRI, Andrijanto, launched the BRI-UNS Corner building within the UNS Campus. The launching took place on Tuesday (1/8/2023) and was attended by Vice Rectors, Directors, Deans, Heads of Bureaus, and BRI management.
In his speech, the Director of Network and Services BRI, Andrijanto, said that the BRI-UNS Corner offers a combination of banking services, a cafe, and waiting areas that can be utilized by lecturers, staff, and students at UNS. “It is essential to know that the collaboration between UNS and BRI has been ongoing since 2013, both in the academic and non-academic business sectors,” Andrijanto explained.
Andrijanto added that the presence of the BRI-UNS Corner is expected to bring BRI closer to the academic community at UNS. “What we have done at UNS is part of BRI’s efforts to open up. A bank should not be rigid. There must be an approach, one of which is establishing the BRI-UNS Corner in the midst of this campus. In addition to UNS, there are also BRI Corners at IPB, UGM, Universitas Jember and Universitas Katolik Parahyangan,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., expressed his gratitude to BRI for the establishment of the BRI-UNS Corner. “Today (Tuesday, 1/8/2023) marks a new era of cooperation between BRI and UNS. This building was designed and constructed by BRI. All funding comes from BRI. On behalf of the UNS leadership, I express my gratitude for the realization of this building,” Prof. Jamal stated.
Prof. Jamal hopes that the presence of the BRI-UNS Corner can be utilized by the UNS academic community. “There are banking services, internet access, meeting rooms, a cafe, and a prayer room. Please use it for discussions or assignments. It’s a comfortable place. We hope everyone will enjoy being here,” he added. Humas UNS
