UNS — The Rector of Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, inaugurated learning and office facilities at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP on Tuesday (11/1/2022) in Building I Hall FISIP UNS.
The Rector stated that the university greatly appreciated the improvement made by FISIP UNS, considering the buildings were built in 1976 and require maintenance in terms of facilities and infrastructure.
“I appreciate what FISIP conducted by improving learning and office facilities and functionalizing new rooms such as Faculty Academic Senate Room. This step needs to be followed by other faculties,” Prof. Jamal stated.
The Dean of FISIP UNS, Prof. Dr. Ismi Dwi Astuti Nurhaeni, M.Si., extended her gratitude to the Rector and his board, who gave permission for FISIP to conduct the improvement. The permission was also followed by budget and emotional supports provided by the Rector in improving FISIP building and facilities and infrastructure.
“Preparing future leaders that meet FISIP tagline is not an easy task. Therefore, it is our task to create exciting and calm learning and healthy educational condition. To achieve that, we improve the learning and office facilities,” Prof. Ismi stated.
The improvements performed by FISIP include re-touching buildings paint, laboratory for State Administration Science in Building IV FISIP, Academic Senate room for FISIP, installation of LED display in FISIP hall, improving hall in Building 1 FISIP, interior improvement in Administration Coordinator room, lactation room in Building II, health facilities in Building II, journal management room, interior improvement in Academic Senate room in Building IV, interior improvement in thesis defend room, seminar room, additional computer laboratory and network, improvement of public open space, and FISIP students’ parking.
FISIP UNS also inaugurated social service Lapor BuDe, a sexual assault reporting service in FISIP UNS, as an implementation of Permendikbud Number 30 of 2021 regarding Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling at University.
The inauguration was also attended by the Vice-Rectors, Deans of faculties/schools in UNS, and the academic senate of each faculty. Humas UNS
