Sports can be defined as an attempted activity to achieve a predetermined objective using natural, organized, and competitive physical power and/or strength. Sports are physical activities to maintain health conditions. Sports competition can be defined as sports activities with a planned, gradual, and sustainable attempt to foster and develop athletes through competition. This effort aims to achieve certain accomplishments supported with sports science and technology.

To achieve an athlete’s success, other than maintaining and improving physical performance through exercise, a value that needs to get instilled within an athlete’s mind is the spirit to follow ‘fair play’ rules in every competition. The fair play rules in sports are defined as conformity to the regulations and respect to the officials for all of their decision as well as respect to the competitors. Fair play is a principle that must always be attached to each athlete’s mind to act fairly and respecting others’ rights in receiving similar treatment before, during, and after a competition. Without fair play, sports and other physical competitive activities will only end up as problems.

Even though so, there are still athletes who choose the shortcuts to improve their physique in a short period by, intentionally or unintentionally due to their ignorance, consuming or using methods categorized as doping. This violates the anti-doping code.

One exception applies when the said method is used under therapeutic permission, where an individual is allowed to use a forbidden substance or method, Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for acute or chronic medical treatment. This condition only applicable under the terms and conditions set by LADI.

The Biomechanics and Sports Technology Research Group (RG) surveys 24 disabled athletes and 10 coaches participating in the ASEAN Para Games in the Philipines 2020. The results show that Indonesian athletes and coaches in ASEAN Para Games have low understanding at 49.5% up to 50.15% rate.

Based on the anti-doping education and dissemination indicator included in the conducted interview, most athletes admit that there is a lack of anti-doping socialization.

Responding to this concern, the author initiates to establish an application to promote doping literacy called ‘RumiDoping.’ The application helps athletes and sportsperson to know certain substances or drugs, as well as forbidden methods, which included doping and providing information related to TUE (Therapeutic Use Exemption). The author hopes that the application can be the source of knowledge and become one of the prevention media, to help athletes and sportsperson to be more selective in consuming drugs, foods, and beverages.

The RumiDoping application facilitates sportsperson to find a certain substance that is categorized as doping. The application can be accessed through the website, while the application for android users can be downloaded from the PlayStore. RumiDoping is Designed with web panel programming language using PITP Lareval 8 Framework and using MySQL database. The application is established using Kotlin language in Android 5-based Studio. The development uses Agile Sprint planning model, starting with Planning (researcher and partners establish the software component planning), Developing (partners starting the software establishment process according to the request), Testing/Quality Assurance (software testing and result documentation), Delivering (partners presenting the product to researcher), and Assessing (researcher delivering feedback on the software development process).

The testing and evaluation process uses the test cases procedure. The Testcase procedure splitting the input domain from a program to know the extent of the software features the capability of an application. The testing was carried out directly by users and if there is any anomaly or disparity as well as malfunction of a certain feature, then the evaluation will be conducted based on the finding. The output of the development to be implemented on the targetted partners is the RumiDoping application.

The application covers various explanations such as doping definition, list of forbidden substances, doping substance, method, therapeutic use exemptions, doping control process, anti-doping institution, and penalty for doping users. The application is also equipped with a search feature to match the substance contained in the consumed drug, beverages, or food, which will inform whether the substance is included as doping category.  (*)
