However, the minister believes that 2021 the economy recovery year through adaptation, innovation, and collaboration. These efforts are necessary to achieve economic growth.

Further, Dr. Sandiaga emphasized that Surakarta is one of the creative cities in Indonesia with a performance subsector that contributes to 43.1% of the local government income. “I am sure that MSMEs in Solo also have potential and need to be surrounded by a creative economy ecosystem to continue growing,” he explained.

The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) is committed in recovering and developing the creative economy sectors. The ministry made numerous efforts through improving human resources capacity, tourism actors, creative economy, revitalization of tourism destinations, improvement of business resilience and design, product and service innovation, digital transformation, and appreciation of Indonesian products. Concluding his remark, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy hoped that UNS Innovation Festival could create a good entrepreneurship ecosystem and build collaboration in recovering the tourism and creative economy sectors.

“Congratulation and success for Universitas Sebelas Maret for hosting the innovation festival. Hopefully, this event could create a good entrepreneurship ecosystem and could build collaboration in recovering the tourism and creative economy sectors,” Dr. Sandiaga concluded. Humas UNS
