UNS — Micare Business Coaching (MBC) was held by the Alumni Foundation of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta (Micare UNS) this year. The MBC 2021 was held in collaboration with FMIPA and BEM FMIPA UNS.
As reported in mipa.uns.ac.id, MBC is entrepreneurship training and funding for FMIPA students and alumni. This year, the target is 2020 alumni. MBC is FMIPA Alumni Association’s (KAFMIPA) contribution in shaping young, independent, and competitive entrepreneurs from FMIPA. MBC provided entrepreneurship training from business professionals and granted IDR 40 million funding for participants who passed the selection process.
The coaching process was conducted in two sessions. Each session has four meetings for business coaching and motivation. The first session for students was held from 30 July 2021 to 27 August 2021 and for alumni from 31 July to 28 August 2021. This session discussed the Bussiness Idea, Bussiness Review, Business Execution, and Business Awards topics.
Opening
Because the coaching is held for students and alumni in different sessions, MBC 2021 had two separate openings on Friday (30/7/2021) under “Alumni’s Role in Shaping FMIPA UNS Student’s Entrepreneurial Spirit” theme for students and on Saturday (31/7/2021) under “Building Alumni and FMIPA Collaboration, Shaping Young Entrepreneurs” theme for alumni.
MBC 2021 was officially opened by the Dean of FMIPA UNS, Drs. Harjana, M.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., mentioned in his remark that students who passed MBC selection could get credit recognition for Entrepreneurship Course (2 Semester Credit – SKS). “I also hope that FMIPA students and alumni could become successful entrepreneurs, (who) could build useful business for people and make FMIPA proud,” he said.
After the grand opening ceremony, the event was followed by business motivation and MBC program introduction by Imam Bustomi, S.Si., M.M., as the Chairman of KAFMIPA UNS and Paiman, S.Si., as the Chairman of FMIPA UNS Alumni Association Foundation.
Dr. Desi Suci Handayani, S.Si., M,Si. (Vice-Dean for Human Resources, Finance, and Logistics Affairs FMIPA), Dr. Fahru Nurosyid, S.Si., M.Si. (Vice-Dean for Planning, Partnership, Business, and Information Affairs FMIPA), Fendy Prasetyo Nugroho, S.Kom., M.Kom. (Foundation Secretary and Person in Charge of MBC 2021), KAFMIPA UNS Managers, Foundation of FMIPA UNS Alumni Association Foundation managers, and participants from students and alumni also attended the Grand Opening ceremony.
