UNS — The Student Association (UKM) Sarasati Community (SSC) Faculty of Cultural Studies (FIB) Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta held a webinar on PKM Chat (ODP) Deep Discussion on How to Reach National Student Science Week (Pimnas). This event was held online through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application on Sunday (20/12/2020). UKM SSC FIB incited M. Dian Saputra Taher, M. Nauval I and team, and Raditya Setiawan as speakers.
Speaking in the first session is M. Dian Saputra Taher, a student of Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) who won PKM grant in 2018, 2019, 2020 and a gold medal for poster and presentation in the 31st Pimnas for PKM – Humanities Social Research (PSH). In his session, Taher discussed PKM-PSH which focuses on social affairs through research that examines the causal relationship and descriptive research on social behavior, economy, education, health, or culture of a community regarding its local wisdom and their contemporary behavior. Taher also shared the keys to his success. “Set the intention and commitment to success, prepare yourself to change, follow all stages of event seriously and with high spirit, and strive for the best results,” he stated.
Nauval and team, who are students from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh November (ITS) Surabaya and gold medal winner in the 33rd PKM for Entrepreneurship (PKM-K), shared his experience in developing Londri.in. This business is an application that offers various services for students to find laundry services around campuses in Surabaya. The idea was submitted to PKM-K, because it is in line with his focus of study, including the implementation of technology, profit orientation, and the ease of application in the real world. He also shared tips and tricks for winning PKM. “Follow the rules, have a creative and innovative idea and be objective and competitive,” he said.
The last session belongs to Raditya Setiawan as the Chief of PKM Center UNS 2020, who shared the PKM program’s outline. “The outline can be summarized into several points, UNS delegates journey to Pimnas, the fundamental in PKM proposal preparation, the practical benefit of preparing PKM proposal, facilities from PKM Center UNS for UNS students, and the info regarding PKM,” Raditya explained.
