UNS — Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta student won another proud achievement in an interior design competition. Alwannuha Fatah N., a student of Structural Engineering Education Program Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), won 2nd place in the competition held by Universitas Bina Nusantara (Binus University) on 18 December 2021 using the theme of IdFest Inspire #3. Alwannuha explained that his interior design uses an electric theme.
“This theme is rarely used in the current designs. I want to present old designs that follow the current trends. The design was also a design of my dream room; thus, I could express it deeply,” Alwannuha stated on Friday (14/1/2022).
He was inspired by western movies and social media platforms like Instagram and Pinterest. Through the design, he succeeded in winning over other participants from various universities in Indonesia. The juries selected the best ten that went through the exhibition stage before the works were re-assessed to determine the winner.
“Very delighted to be a winner in the competition. Considering that I am not an Interior Design major or Architecture, but I could prove that (I could) won over the other competitors,” Alwannuha said.
He hoped that he could continue working and creating while trying new things. “While young, used all the failed attempts and reap the success in the future,” he concluded. Humas UNS
