The Business Model Canvas Competition is a part of the Diponegoro Economics Project (DEP), one of the largest economics competitions in Indonesia. The UNS student team made it to the finals, outshining 39 other teams.

Yusron, one of the team members, shared that after being selected as finalists, they had to present their business model directly to the judges. He and his team presented their business model on Saturday (24/8/2024).

“To win this competition, we went through two stages. The first stage was the selection process, where we had to create a business model canvas. Out of 39 teams, 10 were chosen to present their models offline at Undip. The second stage was the final presentation by those 10 teams,” Yusron explained to uns.ac.id on Thursday (29/8/2024).

In the final round, 10 teams competed, with the top three being selected as winners. The UNS team emerged as the second-place winner in the Business Model Canvas Competition.

“When it was announced that our team had won second place, it felt incredible, especially knowing that we had defeated teams from prestigious universities like Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Airlangga (Unair), and Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM). All the hard work, from preparing the presentation and brainstorming ideas to creating the business prototype, was worth it,” Yusron expressed with gratitude.

Yusron encouraged all UNS students to keep innovating and achieving, in line with the university’s motto, “UNS Bisa” (UNS Can).

“I sincerely hope that my fellow UNS students never stop innovating and achieving. Let’s show that we truly can, just as our university slogan says,” Yusron added.
