In her remarks, Widiastuti Hartono, DWP UNS Chairperson, emphasized the importance of maintaining strong relationships among members and across UNS. She also acknowledged the teamwork behind recent DWP activities.
“Alhamdulillah, our Ramadan programs went smoothly. This included the collective iftar, the Ramadan bazaar, and visits to Yayasan Lentera and Griya PMI. It is also the distribution of free iftar meals. All of these efforts were possible thanks to the dedication of DWP UNS members and management,” she added.

In commemoration of Kartini Day 2025, Widiastuti Hartono encouraged women to keep pursuing gender equality and inclusive empowerment. Through this theme, DWP UNS aims to inspire members to stay actively engaged in building a better society. It also encourages support for women in their continuous growth. The event concluded with a religious sermon (tausiah) delivered by Ustazah Dr. Ari Hikmawati, S.Ag., M.Pd. Inspiring Reflections from Religious Leader

Keynote speaker Ust. Drs. Wasono Nurhadi is a renowned motivator and leader of Santri Makaryo Islamic Boarding School, Surakarta. In his inspiring sermon, Ust. Wasono reminded attendees about the importance of unity, both in personal and professional life.

“The spirit of Syawal is a momentum to begin better steps. It’s not only about asking for forgiveness but also about building harmonious relationships,” he said.
“Success is not achieved alone. It is a result of teamwork. In research and academics, we need to support each other. The success of FMIPA UNS is the success of all of us.”

The event opened with welcoming remarks from hosts Dewi Kartikasari, S.Pd., and Tirza Marshanda Hartono. The participants sang the national anthem Indonesia Raya and the UNS Hymn. A student representative then recited verses from the Qur’an.

To enrich the occasion, Dr. Kadarusman, S.Ag., M.Ag., delivered a spiritual reflection (tausiah) and led a prayer. He carried the theme “Weaving Bonds of Brotherhood, Building an Integrity-Driven and Sustainable FKIP.”

Dr. Yuyun Estriyanto, S.T., M.T., Vice Dean for Non-Academic Affairs, led the introduction of 44 new lecturers and eight newly appointed education staff. The program highlighted their roles as part of FKIP’s growing academic community.

The committee presented certificates of recognition to seven FKIP lecturers who recently earned their doctoral degrees. They also honored 16 faculty and staff members who had officially retired.

The Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Hartono, dr., M.Si., and the entire UNS academic community attended the gathering. The event featured a religious sermon delivered by K.H. Muhammad Jadul Maula. He is the Chairman of the Indonesian Muslim Arts and Culture Institute under Nahdlatul Ulama (Lesbumi NU).

In his opening remarks, Prof. Hartono emphasized the importance of Halalbihalal as a moment to forgive, reconnect, and strengthen relationships.

“On this noble occasion, let us all sincerely forgive others and purify ourselves,” he said.

He also explained the deeper cultural symbolism behind the Halalbihalal tradition.

“Halalbihalal means reconciliation and forgiveness. Ketupat, a traditional Eid food, symbolizes purity. Its shape represents the four cardinal directions and a central point. This design reminds us to return to our true selves after Ramadan,” K.H. Jadul Maula explained. The Halalbihalal gathering at UNS was not just a ceremonial event. It was a reflection of the university’s values of unity, forgiveness, and progress. As UNS continues its journey toward becoming a world-class institution, moments like these play a vital role.
