]]> UNS — Students of the Statistics Study Program (Prodi) of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta, made another achievement at the national level. They are Ahmad Zamahsyar and Monica Ramadhania An-nur, who won first place in the National Infographic Competition organized by Universitas Halu Oleo Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi. The final announcement was held virtually on Tuesday (21/12/2021).

This year’s competition’s theme is “Statistics in Economics Growth towards Indonesia 5.0.” In this competition, the two students must prepare infographics based on the data provided by the committee, where participants are free to choose and visualize from the data that has been provided.

Zamahsyar and Monica were interested in participating in this competition because they were encouraged by their curiosity regarding academic competitions hosted by campuses outside Java. “We want to participate and are curious about the competitions held by campuses outside Java,” said Zamahsyar as quoted from the mipa.uns.ac.id on Monday (27/12/2021).

Furthermore, Zamahsyar expressed his pride and happiness for accomplishing achievements at the national level even though it was his final semester. “Alhamdulillah, my team and I feel thrilled and proud because we are starting our final semester in UNS, yet we can still participate in competitions and become champions,” explained Zamahsyar.
