The signing ceremony was attended by Surakarta Mayor, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and the Head of Bank Indonesia (BI) Representative Solo, Nugroho Joko Prastowo. The signing ceremony was held in Bale Tawangarum Balaikota Surakarta on Friday (25/3/2022) and was broadcasted through the Zoom Cloud Meeting, Bank Indonesia Solo YouTube, and Gibran TV.

The agreement aims to develop the curriculum of the research program of Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program and to open partnership opportunities between SV UNS and Baznas Surakarta. As mentioned by the Dean of SV UNS, Drs. Santoso Tri Hananto, M.Acc., Ak., the collaboration is an effort to support Surakarta Mayor’s program to shape Baznas Kota Surakarta as the best in Indonesia.

“SV UNS is ready to support through the Integrated Information System, Website, Accounting System, and Marketing Strategy,” Santoso stated.

The website prepared by SV UNS is available in four languages, Indonesia, English, Arab, and Mandarin. “This (language service) is provided to reach all nations globally,” Santoso stated.

The website also facilitates community members to perform Zakat, Infaq, and Sedekah (ZIS). Further, the website will also improve Baznas management by providing financial reporting accountability and transparency. Thus, improving the distribution of funds to those in need.

In developing the website, SV UNS involved students in six programs, Diploma Program (D3) in Informatics Engineering, Diploma Program (D3) in Accounting, Diploma Program (D3) in Marketing Management, Diploma Program (D3) in Applied Communication, Diploma Program (D3) in English, and Diploma Program (D3) Mandarin Language.

The Head of Baznas Surakarta, Muhammad Qayim, greatly appreciated the collaboration, stating, “I convey my gratitude to SV UNS for the developing the information technology for Baznas Surakarta. Hopefully, the synergy brings blessings.” Humas UNS

Adila Arya Kusumastuti, Daffa Mudia Athifah, and Destya Vinka Wahyu Rosa Adinda, all from the Diploma Program (D-3) in Informatics Engineering, knew their triumph after FE UNU Yogyakarta announced the winners through their official Instagram account @bpc_unuyo on Wednesday (22/12/2021). The Team submitted a business plan on “The Effectiveness of Digital Web-based Guest Book in Managing Invitees” that was inspired by the shortcomings of the conventional paper-based guest book that is less effective, has a higher possibility to break, loss of data, and slow guest management process.

“Because the website development process aligns with our program, Informatics Engineering. Therefore, we want to develop this idea, and because of the pandemic, all activities could be slowed down if using a conventional guest book,” Daffa stated on Thursday (30/12/2021).

With the innovation, the Team could ease the invitees to attend an event. They do not need to write their name, signature, or address and only need to scan the barcode of their invitations. Daffa stated that the Team also employed UI/UX design to decorate the digital guest book and added interesting features for the book.

“We are interested in participating in this competition because previously in 2nd semester we won a business plan competition. Then when we learned about the competition, we took the opportunity and registered. Alhamdulillah, we brought home another 1st place,” Daffa stated.

When asked about the Team’s challenges during the preparation, Daffa stated that distance became their main issue because they could not meet and only discuss using video call application. Daffa added that they are all from different cities and only met during the final round. Besides the distance, the Team also needs to juggle their preparation with the Final Semester Exam concurrently. Thus, with their achievement, Daffa hoped that they could inspire other UNS students and develop their innovation to be used by the community in general. Humas UNS

In Rumah KIP-K Universitas Siliwangi, Fathul Nisa submitted a work titled “New Phase of Technoculture,” where she shared her idea on the new culture in technology use amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The information on the affecting factors, including economy, education, and innovation, was presented in a colorful and detailed poster which brought Nisa to be announced as 1st winner on Sunday (7/11/2021).

Her earlier achievement in Pekan Raya FKIP Unsri was announced on Monday (18/10/2021) and granted 1st prize for Nisa’s work in new normal adaptation at the educational institution, which tells the tale of learning adjustment from face-to-face meetings to online meetings after the pandemic started. The adoption of technology in the learning system could help students in absorbing materials while demanding students to adjust to the current changes.

These competitions are a break for Nisa from her university activities because she loves to design, and she thinks that her skills would have a vital role in supporting her future career. Her achievements also brought pride for UNS at the national level, and Nisa hoped that she could continue achieving similar achievements in the future.

“What makes me happier is to bring the name of program and university in the competition, I hope, in the future, I could continue participating in many competitions and reaching achievements to bring pride for Informatics Engineering and UNS,” Nisa stated on Tuesday (9/11/2021). Humas UNS

Faculty Members in Applied Informatics Research Group (RG) with Hartatik, S.Si., M.Si., Abdul Aziz, M.Cs., and Nurul Firdaus, M.Info.Tech., as members implemented research and community service program in 2021 that focuses on the digitalization of rural tourism. As an implementation of Tri Dharma, the program that aims to promote the great natural tourism potential in Watu Gambir was implemented under a collaboration with Karang Village Chief, Dwi Purwoto, S.E., and the Head of Tourism, Youth, and Sports Office Karanganyar District, Drs. Titis Sri Jawoto.

The local governments support the promotion efforts through Smart Village we application, the creation of video profiles, and social media. Students of Diploma Program (D-3) in Informatics Engineering were also involved in the program: A. Niko P., Windhi Nur Safitri, and Hafidh An Naafi Suratno.

The “Go wisata” web page is projected to facilitate the local community to promote their tourism destination digitally. Visitors will also be assisted in finding the location and information on points of interest in Watu Gambir rural tourism such as flower garden, lake, reserve camping ground, river tubing, lodging, restaurants, and boats.

The developed application also empowers local people who own hotels or culinary businesses to promote their business. The Tourism Office involvement is also expected to hold the digitalization process in the rural tourism destination. “Go Wisata” Application is an implementation and development of fundamental research, “Go-Payment,” as an effort to improve the tourism industry amid the digital payment era.

“Using this application, we hope to bridge one another and bring benefits for the Diploma Program (D-3) in Informatics Engineering UNS, village apparatus, local community, and tourist of Watu Gambir, continue to develop my village, visit wisatagambir.com, and empower our village.
