The plan was announced by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Jamal Wiwoho, in UNS 46th Anniversary Press Conference in Ruang Sidang IV dr. Prakosa Rectorate Building on Wednesday (2/2/2022). “UNS grants an award for Ibu Sri Mulyani for her hard works and various policies she took to save the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) during the Covid-19 pandemic,” Prof. Jamal stated.

Prof. Jamal specifically appreciated Sri Mulyani’s quick action in providing debt payment relief for debtors during the pandemic. He also praises Sri Mulyani’s policy in providing social aids for middle- and low-income families and financial aids for MSMEs.

“In the last two years, Ibu Sri provided policies that greatly benefit MSMEs development since March 2020. The policies boost the existence of MSMEs amid the pandemic,” Prof. Jamal stated.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of the UNS 46th Anniversary Celebration, Prof. Reviono, stated that the award is yet to be named and will be announced at a later time.

Themes and Agenda in UNS 46th Anniversary

In its 46th anniversary celebration, UNS takes the theme of “UNS Internationalization and Digital Technology-based Innovation Development Towards the Creative Economy Awakening.” According to Prof. Jamal, the theme is different from the previous year’s celebration because UNS wants to focus on Indonesia’s economic recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.

“The theme selection was related to the pandemic situation that starts to ease, and we hope for economic recovery. Therefore, the events will be synergized with the campus, workplace, and industrial world,” Prof. Jamal explained. Prof. Jamal also explained the main events that will be held during the celebration of UNS 46th Anniversary on March 2022, such as the Grand Opening of UNS Tower “Ki Hadjar Dewantara” by President RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi), followed by MSMEs exhibition in Solo and UNS Kentingan campus and Solo Techno Park (STP).

On the same day, Sri Mulyani will deliver a scientific speech, and UNS will grant awards for its excellent alumni. Preceding the main event of UNS 46th Anniversary, the university will also hold a flag ceremony, tree planting, and visit to UNS founder burial ground on 10 March 2022. Humas UNS
