While visiting FISIP UNS, he also delivered a public lecture entitled “Internalization of Pancasila Ideology in the Digital Age for Millennial Generation” to FISIP UNS students after witnessing the ceremony. It should be noted that the scope agreed upon by both parties includes internship/field practices, teaching/teaching assistance, community service, and human resources enhancement and empowerment. Meanwhile, the study programs involved in the agreement between FISIP UNS and MK RI are the State Administration Study Program, Sociology, International Relations (HI), and Communication Science.

In an interview after the ceremony, Anwar Usman welcomed the cooperation established with FISIP UNS. To uns.ac.id, he said that MK RI provides opportunities for FISIP UNS students to participate in an internship program. “Alhamdulillah, it has been agreed that MK RI will provide an opportunity for FISIP UNS faculty members and students to learn at MK RI regarding constitutional enforcement and law enforcement,” explained Anwar Usman.

He gladly expressed MK RI’s openness in welcoming FISIP UNS students to the upcoming internship program. “Of course, we are enthusiastic to welcome FISIP students at MK RI later. Also, the general lecture I presented today was a constitutional mandate as well as a good deeds because sharing knowledge to fellow people is a reward,” he concluded. Humas UNS

The seminar was opened by the Rector of UNS, Prof. Dr. Jamal Wiwoho, S.H., M.Hum., who mentioned in his opening remark that the university has a strategic role in improving the young generation’s integrity. “Indonesia depends on millennials in the future; we need a generation with Pancasila-based morality. That is why the university has a strategic role in improving integrity among young generations,” Prof. Jamal stated.

The first keynote speaker in the seminar was delivered by the Chairman of MK RI, Prof. Dr. Anwar Usman, S.H., M.H., who reminded the millennials to maintain the constitution as the foundation of a country, and a solution for state’s issues. The first keynote speech was followed by Constitutional Judge Prof. Dr. Enny Nurbaningsih S.H., M.Hum., with a speech on “Building Constitutional Culture for Millennials.” She explained that currently, Indonesia is filled with millennials and generation Z. Millennials will become the future leaders; however, they experience large challenges, including their dependency on the gadget.

“It is as if we are (living) in the absence. We are in one place, but is not in unity,” she stated. Prof. Dr. Enny added that MK issues 66 icons for Indonesian constitutional rights in prints and digital form as a means to grow a constitutional culture in millennials.

The second speaker in the seminar was Vice-Dean 3 FH UNS and FH UNS Constitutional Law faculty member, Dr. Isharyanto, S.H., M.H., who explained the need to adjust the efforts taken to uphold Pancasila and UUD 1945 in the daily life according to the technology advancement.

The material was followed by the third speaker and Constitutional Judge, Prof. Dr. Arief Hidayat, S.H., M.S., who discussed the challenges faced by millennials, including the digital development and negative impact of social media in the forms of hate speech and fake news. He also reminded the participants to protect themselves from the negative impact of technological disruption. He thinks that the millennials need to uphold the culture of divinity, tolerance, mutual cooperation, kinship, mutual assistance, and unity in order to maintain the constitutional mandate to realize the ideals of Indonesia.

The seminar was also attended by the Secretary-General of MK RI, Prof. Dr. M. Guntur Hamzah, S.H., M.H.; the Dean of Dekan FH UNS, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rachmi Handayani, S.H., M.M.; Director of the UNS Legal Aid and Consultation Institute, and FH UNS Constitutional Law faculty member, Dr. Agus Riewanto.
