Tirtonadi Surakarta Bus Terminal has become their preferred public facility because there are several community components that must understand the K3 implementation aspects at the largest bus terminal in Surakarta City. Therefore, they consider that education on safety induction is important to do. In general, the safety induction video they created aims to convey the proper safety and health induction procedures in the bus terminal area. These procedures are made in a manner to facilitate workers’ and community’s understanding and help them to obey the procedure in their normal activity around the terminal. “For example, in the event of an emergency such as fire and earthquake that could occur at Tirtonadi Terminal. We also educate the community and workers in the Tirtonadi Terminal related to how to conduct evacuation procedures in the event of an emergency,” Dea said.

In the video, they also conveyed information related to some public facilities in the Tirtonadi Terminal environment both for bus passengers, workers, and others. Thus, this safety induction video also serves as a medium to introduce the Tirtonadi Surakarta Terminal to the wider community.

The UNS student team is grateful for their success in this competition. They did not expect for this accomplishment. Their gratitude goes to the parties who supported this success, one of which is Terminal Tirtonadi. The 2022 STAYCATION, the competition they participated in, was organized by the Occupational Health and Safety Study Program Student Association, Politeknik Ketenagakerjaan, to commemorate National Occupational Health and Safety Month. There are two categories available, namely safety induction videos and infographics competition. This event aims to nurture high school students’ creativity, university students, and the general public and to educate the wider community about the application of occupational health and safety in everyday life. Segorogunung Village has potential in tourism and agricultural sectors, with tourism sectors well known among visitors. Tourism development requires supporting sectors such as culinary and souvenirs. Segorogunung Village potential that could be developed such as chayote. However, low creativity and innovation lead to a low-profit margin for the local community. Therefore, as an implementation of Higher Education Tri Dharma through community service and assisting local people in developing their local potential, the Diploma Program (D-3) of Agribusiness Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) Surakarta in Student Association in Diploma Program of Agribusiness (Gamagrita) conducted empowerment program that focuses on local community business skills upgrade.

The program was implemented under the Rural Community Empowerment Program (P2MD) funded by the Directorate General of Vocational and Professional Higher Education Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka Program (MBKM) by directly assisting community members and develop students’ skills. In the implementation, the Team collaborated with the rural government, village-owned business (BUMDes) Mustika Lawu, and Women Farmers Group (KWT) Mawar. In five months, the Team has conducted diverse activities, such as “Scale-Up Local Rural Production Supporting Segorogunung Tourism Destination” training, chayote processing into chayote chips, risoles, brownies, and wingko, assistance in development progress and solution for issues that arise, and branding through packaging under “Sechi” brand.

The Team also established the Agrilawu Center as a center for incubation and sales of Segorogunung excellent products and tourism destination that provides photo spots with a “millennial colorful” theme. The center was officially opened and introduced on Thursday (11/11/2021), located south of the Segorogunung football field. The opening ceremony was attended by Ngargoyoso Subdistrict Chief Wahyu Agus Pramono, S.S.T.P., who appreciated the efforts made by the Team. “Thank you to Universitas Sebelas Maret academic members for helping in the development of Segorogunung Village. Hopefully, this event does not stop here, but could continue and develop,” he stated.

The ceremony was also attended by the representative from the Tourism, Youth, and Sports Office of Karanganyar District, Sarno S.Kar., as the Head of Tourism Marketing Development, who also welcomed the program and considered it to be in line with Karanganyar tourism vision in 2030. “We support this program as a small step in achieving Karanganyar tourism vision in 2030,” he stated.

Another appreciation was shared by the Dean of Vocational School UNS, Drs. Santoso Tri Hananto, M.Acc., Ak., showed his gratefulness for the success in P2MD program implementation. He also mentioned that collaboration among other programs is necessary for community development efforts. “So that, the output could be diverse and reach various elements of the rural community,” he added.

The Team also received thanks from Segorogunung Village Chief, Tri Harjono, S.Sos., for selecting his village as a community service location. “Thank you to P2MD Gamagrita Team led by Mbak Hilda and supervisor for helping this village development to be more advanced and independent in the future,” he said in his opening remark.

Hilda Sekar Wulandari, as Team Leader, also thanked all parties who helped her Team in implementing their programs. She also mentioned that she learned many things during the process. According to Rysca Indreswari, S.Pt., M.Si., as a team supervisor, the program is an appropriate means of knowledge transfer and implementation of what students learn because, as an agent of change, students need to observe and solve issues in the community.

In the opening ceremony, SV UNS also signed an agreement of collaboration with Segorogunung Village as assisted village and community service site for students. The event was also livened up by Afifah Nuha Prasiswi who sang modern Javanese songs. Humas UNS

Khadijah Team from UNS has three students from Diploma Program (D-3) in Agricultural Product Technology (THP) Batch 2019. The team members are Faridah Halimatus Sa’diyah, Diana Nur Miftakh, and Girindra Ayu Damastuti. The team proposed a business idea titled “Nutry Gummy: Utilizing Milkfish Bones in Nutry Gummy as an Innovation of Jelly Candy with Local Taste”. The team selected this product development based on the gelatin needs in Indonesia that are still imported from other countries and cause high prices in the market. The Indonesian community, in general, is also questioning the halalness of the imported gelatin product as the main material in jelly candy.

Faridah Halimatus Sa’diyah, a member of Khadijah Team from Gresik, observed that her region has high Milkfish production and sub-optimum milkfish bones processing. “While milkfish has high protein and has a potential to be processed into gelatin,” Faridah explained to uns.ac.id on Monday (25/10/2021).

From the existing community issues, Khadijah Team introduced the milkfish bones innovation process into gelatin and used it as a composition of jelly candy. They also added local taste, kunyit asem. In the competition that was joined by around 247 participants from various universities in Indonesia, including ITB, Unair, Unesa, ITS, and UGM, the team successfully went through the Business Lean Canvas selection, business design selection, and the grand final.

“We are grateful and delighted from 247 teams in the competition from all universities in Indonesia, we could win 2^nd place,” Faridah stated.

Khadijah Team hoped that there would be an implementation from their business design that optimized the processing of milkfish bones as side-products. The gelatin production from milkfish bones is also expected to grow and reduce import dependency.

NBPC 2021 is a competition to recover the Indonesian economy after the Covid-19 pandemic. The competition that had “Start Your Business With Your Creative and Innovative Ideas In The New Normal Era” as a theme had a culinary sub-theme selected by Khadijah Team and two other sub-themes, Creative Industry, Services, and Technology. The Head of D3 TI Study Program SV UNS, Hartatik, M.Si., said that in 2020, the Smart IT Fest had successfully organized a similar event under a different theme, namely the ‘Innovation of D3 IT Products as a Solution in the Pandemic Era, Collaboration with Industry.’ This year around, under the theme of ‘Building Indonesia,’ the Smart IT Fest collaborates with E-Mailkomp, and was Chaired by Armada Muhammad Siswanto.

As an annual event, the Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 aims to facilitate the D3 IT SV UNS students’ final project publication. “This is where students’ creative ideas in the technological sector are created. Not only that, the Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 is a long-awaited moment for students to broaden their perspective in the currently developing technology,” explained Hartatik, M.Si.

The Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 consists of Expo, National Seminar, and National Competition. The Expo is a session for the D3 IT SV UNS students to publish their works, which are viewable for the public through the Smart IT Fest Official Youtube channel and the smartitfest.d3ti.ac.id website. Meanwhile, the Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 National Seminar attracted quite some public attention. The National Seminar covers various topics such as Digital Marketing & Social Media Specialist, Technology and Big Data Enthusiasts, ‘Bringing Things to Life with the Internet of Things,’ and the Role of Software Development in Achieving the Golden Indonesia 2045.

Numerous well-known speakers were invited as speakers at the Seminar, among others, are Bagus Rully Muttaqien discussing the Technology and Big Data Enthusiasts, and the CTO & Co-founder of Talk.id, Angga Dwi Arifandi, delivering a speech on the Role of Software Development in Realizing a Golden Indonesia 2045.

The National Seminar is conducted virtually through the Zoom Cloud Meeting application and was available for free to the public, attracting high enthusiasm. The Chairperson of the Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 Organizing Committee, Muhammad Irfan Pratama, said that there were nearly 100 participants attended the webinar.

The Smart IT Fest Quantum 2021 also holds a series of National Competitions consisting of a Poster Competition, Apps Development Competition, and a Start-Up Business Competition from September 4 to October 2, 2021. Humas UNS
